Antanicus changed:

Guys this is still broken and kwallet is at fault:

"The underlying problem seems to be that kwallet does not support the common
API required by the Linux libsecret library"
(see:
https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-docker/issues/1515#issuecomment-571434211 )

"You need org.freedesktop.secrets. This is supplied by gnome-keyring. Kwallet
has never added it, and libsecret does not provide it as well. Unfortunately
you must install gnome-keyring to get any electron apps using keytar to work. "
(see:
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/tutanota-desktop-could-not-access-secret-storage-in-the-desktop-client/64374
)

Please implement this feature ASAP, a lot of us rely on this to use third party
apps (see: https://tutanota.com/it/faq/#secretstorage )

As a professional UX designer I see two ways to solve the hover problem:

1. Give users the choice as to whether they want to open categories on hover or
on click

2. Implement an option where an expanded alphabetical list is the default view
in the left panel and favourites are kept in the right panel so no accidental
hovering can happen

[plasmashell] [Bug 430891] [KDE Neon 5.20] Kickoff displaying zombie entry upon search

2021-01-05 Thread Antanicus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430891

(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1)
> Do you see the same thing if you perform the same search in KRunner itself,
> rather than in Kickoff?

Yes, I just did a random search using KRunner and the zombie entry was there.

Interestingly enough, KRunner listed the zombie entry under different MIME
types depending on the letter I typed. Letters A,B and C caused KRunner to list
the zombie entry as an image, while typing the letter D magically turned it
into a spreadsheet.

As far as I can tell, these are the three possible options:
- image
- spreadsheet
- document (whatever that means)
