@Wegwerf this bug tracker was the only means to communicate with the
developers. Can you advise how we can let them know about bugs?

Well, kdenlive does work w/o movit and it does work on MESA/Haswell with movit.
The problem is on nvidia cards only. Can we still have this bug open work on it
as time permits?

I use latest MLT (from git). I do have movit enabled. The error occured due to
outdated kde framework (not sure wich part of it). I rebuilt the kde-framework
and the error no longer occurs.
I close as INVALID

The size of icons and other elemets is ok now. However the images are not
correct on some icons. I run kdenlive-git (refreshed today) and
breeze-icons-git (refreshed today) under Gnome 3.20 desktop.
maybe I miss some vital kde component?

I also experience wrong/missing icons for some buttons. I tried to highlight
them in the attached screenshot.
Please note that I run kdenlive from gnome 3.20 desktop.
I have a git version of kdenlive and breeze-icons. maybe I'm missing something
else from kde. I also installed kde from git.

Thanks again,

Hi, thank you very much for your efforts to support HiDPI displays. A lot of
icons are of normal size now. However the track control buttons are still very
small for me. Please see the attached screenshot. They look OK @ 1920x1080, but
too small @2880x1620

Latest kdenlive-git allows playing clips in the clip monitor, while trying to
play the timeline aborts kdenlive with the following message:

GL error 0x501 at filter_glsl_manager.cpp:443

melt дубль1.mp4 .glsl=1 -attach movit.saturation saturation=0 -consumer xgl
works ok and shows bw clip.

[kdenlive] [Bug 362925] kdenlive-git fails to create audio thumbnails

2016-05-12 Thread Anton Gubarkov via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362925

Can you share the ffmpeg command template so I could time my audio thumb
creation outside kdenlive? I usually shoot performance of approx 60-100 minutes
which results in a file 12-19 GB (FHD@50p).

movit patch to fix crash on locale with comma as decimal separator

I have integrarted the patch into my package manager and rebuilt movit. I can
run melt w/o tweaking my LC_NUMERIC now and the clip runs fine desaturated.

However, kdenlive still crashes when I add a color clip and the movie clip is
still black.

Hi, Jean-Baptiste,

I can no longer reproduce the crash with movit enabled. the clip and project
monitors always display back. The behaviour doens't depend on LC_NUMERIC. I
can't verify with LC_ALL=C since all my clip data are in directories with
Russian names, I can't read the russian names in the file chooser and I can't
descend into any of these directories.

I can observe
[filter avcolor_space] Invalid format glsl_texture
[filter avcolor_space] Invalid format glsl
in the staring terminal.

[kdenlive] [Bug 358997] New: kdenlive-git HEAD doesn't use proxy in clip/project monitor

2016-02-04 Thread Anton Gubarkov via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358997

Bug ID: 358997
Summary: kdenlive-git HEAD doesn't use proxy in clip/project
monitor
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Video Display & Export
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: anton.gubar...@gmail.com

I shoot in AVCHD. When I jog thru my clips forward, I usually can move
frame-by-frame and my monitor is updated for every frame. When I move backward,
I usually see no updates in the monitor until I encounter a key frame. I used
to create proxies to mitigate this problem. The profile I use to encode my
proxies is DNxHD 720p@60M - this is what my laptop can handle.

When my proxies are created, I expect that the playhead movements are updated
in the monitor as they go. I see the same keyframed update of the monitor when
I go backward instead. Besides that, the quality of the monitor stays at 1080p
as originally filmed instead of going down to 720p.

When I copy my proxy file and add it to the project bin as a usual clip, I can
observe the expected smoothness of backward motion.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a DNxHD proxy of a 1080p @ 50 frames/sec
2. go back in either clip or project monitor
3. observe no frame update in backward jog.

This works great now. I have the original aspect frame visible and can adjust

As a side note, I can disable video in the track to remove the sluggish
"real-time preview" and leave only the frame. Once I get my corners right, I
can enable the video back before rendering.

let me +1. It works this way for any effects I used: corners, white balance,
pan

The expected and intuitive behaviour is to create a new keyframe at the
playhead position and put in the key-frameable attributes at their current
calculated values (i.e. unless I manually tinker them, the new key frame has no
effect).

The keyframe logic has bugs for corners:
selecting a keyframe doesn't move the playhead into the position, regardless of
the switch button.
keyframe is added to the middle of the keyframe interval rather than to the
current playhead position.
Manipulating the effect parameters affects another keyframe (not the one that
is selected).

Well, on my Haswell i7-4900MQ the preview is not really live :-(
When I move the corners, the video image transformation follows approx 1 frame
per second (even on nearest neighbour). And I can't see the lines indicating
the source aspect ratio. I think, if you could make the image being
transformed a semi-stransparent, it would be much more convenient. As an
alternative, make a wireframe (w/o live update of the image) and allow it to be
really live.

movit demo program works as expected - allows me to tinker colors of the photo

I can play a clip in melt -consumer qglsl with good speed. (I couldn't before
update, same invalid format glsl errors).
kdenlive no longer crashes when using movit to play a clip, however there is no

[kdenlive] [Bug 357806] kdenlive-15.12 corners effect applied to a clip with arbitrary aspect ratio is converted to project aspect

corners frame is 16:9

Your trick works for me too. Thanks.
However the red control frame is still 16:9 (i.e. project aspect) which makes
it difficult to adjust to fit the screen exactly.

[kdenlive] [Bug 357806] New: kdenlive-15.12 corners effect applied to a clip with arbitrary aspect ratio is converted to project aspect

2016-01-10 Thread Anton Gubarkov via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357806

Bug ID: 357806
Summary: kdenlive-15.12 corners effect applied to a clip with
arbitrary aspect ratio is converted to project aspect
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Video Display & Export
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: anton.gubar...@gmail.com

I'm trying to fit a video I was projecting on the screen via an overhead
projector in a live show into another footage I shot during the show.
The overhead video is 4:3, while the camera (and the project) is 16:9.

When Corners effect is not applied to an overhead video clip, it is composited
over the camera footage correctly (i.e. opaque 4:3 video fit to the height of
the project). See the attachment no-corners.png.

When I apply Corners to the overhead video, the clip immediately becomes 16:9
by adding black opaque bars to the right and to the left. When I transform, the
clip retains the black opaque bars. See attachment corners.png.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
The clip transformed by Corners is converted to the project aspect ratio by
adding black opaque bars

Expected Results:
The clip transformed by Corners should retain its own dimentions.
