Terminal log Krite 4.1.5 fro 2 void linux installations and system info

SUMMARY
I use Void Linux and have tried it with two installations.
If I open Krita 4.1.5, the moment I bring the Wacom pen (Intuos5 M) inside the
drawing area Krita closes.

I launched Krita from the terminal to see the error messages. In the attached
file there is the output from two different systems and some information about
the system in use.

With Krita 4.1.7 and 4.2.0 prealpha instead everything is ok!

Thanks

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open krita 4.1.5
2. move Wacom pen in drawing area
3. Krita crash

[krita] [Bug 397897] What has changed in the Krita Appimage file format?

2018-08-27 Thread Avelino De Sabbata
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397897

--- Comment #3 from Avelino De Sabbata ---
Thanks mvowada, problem solved, but I do not understand how!

I have followed the steps you suggested and all versions of Appimage files have
worked correctly.

I then put back in their place (with the correct names) the folder
$HOME/.local/share/krita/ and the file $HOME/.config/kritarc with my
configurations (Workspaces, paintoppresets, brush...) that I had previously
renamed and the Appimage files again work!!!

I do not understand what could have happened. Anyway ... everything well that
ends well!

Even today I've downloaded the Appimage files of Krita's latest compilations,
but they don't work: I receive the error "open dir error: No such file or
directory".

The only Appimage file I can run is the old
"krita-4.0.4-057e653-x86_64.appimage".

In the attached file "KritaAppimageNotWork.txt" you can see the replies of the
terminal.

I have specified version 4.1.0 but the same issue occurs in all versions after
4.0.4.

I know that this is not a bug, but I would still like to ask for attention on
this issue.

In Krita's forum, on the page
"https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=83=153091; I wrote this message:
---
Hello everyone.

I know that in Windows the "Reference image" docker caused the application to
crash and has been replaced by the "Reference Images" tool.
The efficiency of this tool is by no means comparable to the suppressed docker
and therefore I strongly recommend that you restore the docker "Reference
image" at least in the Linux version.

Krita users who agree with this suggestion are asked to add a comment to
underline this request.

Thank you all.

---
I see that there are no reactions or comments: is it possible that this request
will be taken into consideration?

Thank you.

[krita] [Bug 395860] Not start

2018-06-29 Thread Avelino De Sabbata
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395860

--- Comment #10 from Avelino De Sabbata ---
Hi Boud, you see that Krita 4.04 (startup log in previous post) doesn't find
her "sitepackages" in the appimage, but I see that the program apparently works
without problems.

All subsequent versions (also krita-4.1.0-x86_64.appimage just downloaded and
tested again) instead produce the following error message:

"open dir error: No such file or directory"

Obviously there was a variation in the options for compiling the "appimage"
file.

Thanks

Hello Boud, Thank you for your reply.
In the grab attached to the comment above some information about my system.
Note that with today's update also Krita has been updated to V.4.1 and it works
well. The problem manifests itself with recent versions of Krita in appimage. I
have an old flattened design (krita-4.0.4-057e653-x86_64.flattened) that works
great. What has changed in the compilation of the appimages?

I do not know if this also happens in krita 3 that do not use because I have
another problem: I do not know if it depends on my video card (Nvidia GeForce
GTX 970) or my dual monitor configuration.
When I use the mouse all is OK, but with the Wacom tablet any brush follows the
pointer until the middle of the screen to the left, then moves to the right
side of the monitor and back on the position of the pointer only when it is
worn on the right edge of the screen. If I start drawing when the brush is on
the position of the pointer, the brush follows the pointer until I get up the
pen from the tablet, then the brush moves to the right of the pointer by about
half a screen size.

This problem occurs on all my Linux installations and on Windows instead all is
OK.

Unfortunately this has done away with the Toolbox panel icons.
I uninstalled and reinstalled krita but the problem remains: how can i restore
the icons of the toolbox?

Hi, I do not know if this is a bug or is there a setting that I not find:
I hold Doker "Brush presets" always open on the second monitor and I want them
to be displayed all the brush (All) or the brush with a tag of my choice. For
some time now, however, the Doker opens with a selected tag (Smudge) and even
if I change it (or I select "All") on the next restart of Krita the Doker
reopen with the Smudge selected tag.

The problem is not critical but annoying: it is fixable?

Thank you.

Reproducible: Always

[krita] [Bug 356669] New: random lines appear as you draw

2015-12-14 Thread Avelino De Sabbata via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356669

Bug ID: 356669
Summary: random lines appear as you draw
   Product: krita
   Version: 2.9.10
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Brush engine
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: avelinodesabb...@alice.it

Hello,
This is a problem that I encounter for a long time, but it's hard to describe,
and why I never reported: I try with the help of some of the screen grab.
It seems to have already been reported in bug 355665, but I use a Wacom Intuos
5 pro tablet.
While using the tool "Freehand Brush Tool" to draw, which happens to be
randomly inserted lines longer or shorter variable directions with the brush in
use. In the attached pictures it is highlighted the problem described.
The phenomenon it happened also with other brushes, but in tests I did for you,
I could not repeat it. I use what ever preset Ave_Pencil_4B (brush I modified
from a standard) but I do not think the problem is this brush (which I
enclose), although in fact it is with it that the problem occurs more often. In
tests made for you the problem manifested itself with the preset Ink_Gpen.
In the image "ave_pencil_4b.png" the fact is very clear and it happened while I
was being typed the name of the brush.

Download zip archive with grabs from my dropbox

Thank you.

Reproducible: Sometimes
