New crash information added by DrKonqi

kontact (5.16.2 (20.12.2)) using Qt 5.15.2

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I have Kontact opened but wasn't actively using it. I can reproduce this 100%
of the time. After a certain amount of time (approximately 5 minutes, I haven't
exactly timed it yet) Kontact crashes. It doesn't matter if it's just "sitting
there" in the foreground, background or if I'm actively using it.

Is there any way to stop that indexing error to appear time and again?
It is really annoying and gets to a point I'm actually thinking about switching
to a different DE because I get those crash notificiations every few seconds.

[Akonadi] [Bug 422962] New: Akonadi indexing agent crashes time and again

2020-06-14 Thread Christian Nitschkowski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422962

Bug ID: 422962
Summary: Akonadi indexing agent crashes time and again
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Indexer
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: cn...@gmx.de
CC: chrig...@fastmail.fm, dvra...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Akonadi indexing agent crashes time and again, even without any user
interaction without any special configuration.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login into Plasma session.

OBSERVED RESULT
When I login to KDE session the crash report dialog pops up during login.
While the session is running a toast message will pop up every now and then
telling me the indexing agent crashed.

EXPECTED RESULT
The indexing agent shouldn't crash.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 32
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70
Qt Version: 5.13.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I upgraded from KDE 5.16 to 5.17 to 5.18 without resetting my configuration.
The problem occurred already with KDE 5.16. It first came up a few days after
setting up my computer and persisted over several updates.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
