[Discover] [Bug 483701] unable to launch Software Sources - root password never accepted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483701 Christopher Smith changed: What|Removed |Added CC||cj61...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Christopher Smith --- I've had the exact same thing happen when I tried opening KSystemLog through GUI, where a "KDE su" window pops up asking for the root password, and failing with the same error message. [kdeplasma-addons] [Bug 483375] New: Symbolic icon color on Sticky Note should change based on note color
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483375 Bug ID: 483375 Summary: Symbolic icon color on Sticky Note should change based on note color Classification: Plasma Product: kdeplasma-addons Version: 6.0.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: notes Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: cj61...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The symbolic icons on the Sticky Note widget currently only switches color when the theme is set to light or dark mode. Changing the note color doesn't cause any change. This causes the icons to be significantly less visible when they are as dark as the color of the note. The behavior should be swapped in order to make the icons more legible. [Spectacle] [Bug 483155] [wayland] Spectacle Rectangle Select has Inaccurate Sizing on Multi-Screen Multi-Scale Configurations
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483155 Christopher Smith changed: What|Removed |Added CC||cj61...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Christopher Smith --- I've had the same issue using single displays, and it only seems to be happening on fractional scale factors. On a single 1080p display at 125% scale, Spectacle reports a full-display resolution of 3071x1727, but correctly saves a 1920x1080 screenshot. On 200% scale, however, the reported resolution is near 1920x1080 (reported as 1919x1079). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasma-pa] [Bug 482213] New: Volume change sound cut-off causes popping
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482213 Bug ID: 482213 Summary: Volume change sound cut-off causes popping Classification: Plasma Product: plasma-pa Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: cj61...@gmail.com CC: isma...@gmail.com, m...@ratijas.tk, now...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 166289 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=166289&action=edit FreeDesktop sounds SUMMARY The new volume change sounds part of the Ocean sound theme are a bit longer than the FreeDesktop sounds used in most desktops. Because of this, if the sound were to repeat because of a held key, it would produce a repeating popping noise, due to the sound getting repeatedly cut. The previous sounds didn't have this issue because they were short enough to finish playing before getting cut off. A possible fix for this would be to either extend the period these sounds would play to fit the sound that plays, or to keep the current delay and make the sounds overlap -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[valgrind] [Bug 372347] Replacement problem of the additional c++14/c++17 new and delete operators
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372347 --- Comment #4 from Christopher Smith --- (In reply to Philippe Waroquiers from comment #3) > If your new/delete operators will have the 'normal/expected' semantic, > then why would the Valgrind replacement create a problem ? > Or, in other words, what is special in your operators that make them > non replaceable ? > You lose a lot of Valgrind functionalities if you do not replace > the heap functions. Certain parts of my program do a lot of allocation/deallocation. I plan on adding a sort of "cache" for same sized sections of memory to prevent having to run malloc each time. Although I suppose this is purely a performance optimization and can be omitted during testing. For now, I'll use `--show-mismatched-frees=no`. I'm looking forward to this fix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[valgrind] [Bug 372347] Replacement problem of the additional c++14/c++17 new and delete operators
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372347 --- Comment #2 from Christopher Smith --- Thanks for the reply. If you plan on making Valgrind override my delete operator as well, that could cause issues for my intermediate code. One thing I could do, would be to use the Client Request Mechanism to notify Valgrind of my memory changes, but then disable the operator replacement. Is it possible to disable the replacement? I'm reading over the docs and it mentions VALGRIND_CREATE_MEMPOOL. If I'm running on Linux, I wouldn't have access to that. Would it be possible to just override malloc/free and NOT new/delete? I would expect there to be an option for this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
