[kmail2] [Bug 403770] New: unified mailbox (folder) not update sometimes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403770 Bug ID: 403770 Summary: unified mailbox (folder) not update sometimes Product: kmail2 Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: folders Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: z...@cnzhx.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Unified mailbox (or folder) is amazing feature introduced recently. But sometimes the unified mailboxes do not update according to incoming new messages or deleting messages. However, the unified folders could update themselves after running ```akonadictl fsck && akonadictl restart```. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start Kontact and configure a unified folder to include several inboxes. 2. Restart the machine and start Kontact to make sure the settings are effective. 3. Wait for new message incoming, or delete some old messages in the list of the unified folder. OBSERVED RESULT The new message appears in the (old fashion) inbox but not in the unified folder, or the deleted messages do not disappear from the unified folder. EXPECTED RESULT New message appears in the unified folder as soon as it appears in the inbox; the delete messages disappear from the unified folder as soon as they are moved to the Wastebin from the list of messages in the unified mailbox. That may not be a big problem as I understood you correctly :) And I can confirm that the SMS on the phone is not marked as READ at the moment. This feature has to wait for further work or will never be implemented because of Permission restriction. But do you mean that even case 2/ in comment #4 does not work for you? Have you tried the suggested workaround? Does it solve the problem? Sorry if I sounds a little pushy but it is a process of identifying the real problem. And I can confirm that case 2/ works for me, which means it might not a bug but some glitches in your phone or PC system. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdeconnect] [Bug 382165] sms notifications are not deleted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382165 --- Comment #4 from CnZhx --- Let's make it clearer because what you reported includes two functions. 1/ When one Reply to a new-coming SMS on the PC, the notification on the PC or in the pull-down list (or notification bar) of the phone will not be dismissed currently. If you are looking for this behaviour, it has to wait for the developers to implement. And I suggest you to submit a new bug for this with a clearer title, for example "SMS notification on the phone should be dismissed after replying it on the PC". 2/ When a new SMS comes in the phone, a notification is displayed on the the pull-down list (or notification bar) of the phone, as well as on the desktop of the PC. On the PC, the notification is showed in a popup and as an entry in the list of "KDE Connect". If you click the cross ("X") right to the notification entry for this SMS in the list of the "KDE Connect" (not the "Notifications") to dismiss it, the notification on the phone will be dismissed, too. This is the behaviour works currently. If you have such issue, please try the suggestion in comment #3 and report back. Moreover, Either 1/ or 2/ will not mark the SMS as read on the phone (sorry, I have made a wrong statement in comment #1). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 377033] Unable to view the phone's filesystem
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377033 --- Comment #10 from CnZhx --- I installed Krusader 2.7.1 just now on openSUSE Tumbleweed. I did not set it as default file manager, so I copy-n-paste the path from dolphin to open it in Krusader. No problem has been found with opening the paths but I have not tried to set Krusader as default (so that if I click the folder icon in KDE Connect it will ask Krusader instead of Dolpin to open the folder for me). There is no problem to open the mount point. The path of the mount point for the Android device is like "/run/user/1000/ed411c49fbc8b0ca/storage/emulated/0/". [plasmashell] [Bug 396505] New: Notification popup should only show current entry instead of a list of history entries
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396505 Bug ID: 396505 Summary: Notification popup should only show current entry instead of a list of history entries Product: plasmashell Version: 5.13.2 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Notifications Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de Reporter: z...@cnzhx.net CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 When history of notifications is enabled, there is a list shown in the click-to-show window of Notifications. However, this list should not be shown in the new notification window for current event in my opinion. I am not sure I used the correct terms for the description, so I am going to describe it in detail. When a new even coming, there is a notification pop up window notifying user of the new event. This window is not the one that shows when user clicks the Notifications tray icon. Therefore, this window should only show the information for the currently incoming event but not the list of events stored/enabled in the click-to-show window of the Notifications. In other words, the option of keep a history of notifications should not affect the behaviour of notification popups but only the click-to-show window of the Notifications. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I used Okular a lot for paper reading. The settings are almost the same as default, especially the Performance is set to Normal. I used to open a lot of papers at the same time and switching between them. Okular responses quickly. After a while, Okular takes around 5 to 6 GB of ram, which is not a problem for me as long as the memory is not exhausted. After I close some PDFs and open some others, the taken RAM keeps increasing but seems never being released after closure of some documents. That is fine, I think. However, when there is little memory left for my system to use, like only 0.5 GB left, and I need to open another programme, that causes problem and the system starts to use swap space. [kmarkdownwebview] [Bug 390307] Preview of Markdown - fonts too small in HiDPI screen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390307 --- Comment #2 from CnZhx --- Hi Friedrich, thank you for looking into this. To answer your questions, a) That means the "Force fonts DPI" in "Fonts" of the system is set to 168, and the "Screen Scaling" in "Display and Monitor" is set to 1. This is because the following reason. I have a 14" laptop with WQHD display. On the one hand, with screen scaling of 2, the items on screen are too big so less content can be displayed. But screen scaling of fractional value (e.g. 1.3) could cause problems with Konsole and so on. On the other hand, I use an external monitor now and then. It has a normal DPI of 96. If I set screen scaling to value larger than 1, elements on the external screen would be too large. Then, I increase fonts DPI only to make fonts big enough to read (the Fonts sizes are kept default, e.g. Noto Sans 10 for General). b) I tried your method to run Kate. The display is just the same as I reported. In addition to this, I guess it's helpful to mention that I use a font size of 10 in Kate (font family: Hack), which is on the left side of the screenshot. I would expect the preview of Markdown using sizes of symbol (actual font/character size) based on visual font size in system settings. So I include another screenshot with comparison for your reference. Please refer to the next comment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kate] [Bug 390309] New: Bold style not applied when underscore(s) presented in text surrounded by ** or __
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390309 Bug ID: 390309 Summary: Bold style not applied when underscore(s) presented in text surrounded by ** or __ Product: kate Version: 17.12.0 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: syntax Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: z...@cnzhx.net Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 110554 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=110554&action=edit Kate syntax highlighting issues with Markdown Kate has a very impressive syntax highlighting for users but there are some glitches while highlighting Markdown format. A screenshot is attached for showing the issues (please refer to the first several lines). This could easily be reproduced in Kate: create a new file and save it in markdown format, then copy and paste the following text into it to see the syntax highlighting: ``` # Bold not correct with underscore presented in the text **md** **m_d** __m_d__ # Bold not correct when only one symbol (This looks familiar to Bug #70726) **b** __md__ # Bold and Emphasis together not correct **asterisks and _underscores_** ``` -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Powerdevil] [Bug 389660] New: Lot of "org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[PID]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object" in journal log
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389660 Bug ID: 389660 Summary: Lot of "org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[PID]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object" in journal log Product: Powerdevil Version: 5.11.95 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: z...@cnzhx.net Target Milestone: --- I am using a laptop with openSUSE Tumbleweed. Recently I noticed there are a lot of messages like following in the journal log, ``` Jan 30 22:18:07 ostw org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[28142]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object Jan 30 22:18:07 ostw org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[28142]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object Jan 30 22:18:07 ostw org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[28142]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object Jan 30 22:18:07 ostw dbus-daemon[1133]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper' Jan 30 22:19:11 ostp dbus-daemon[1133]: [system] Activating service name='org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper' requested by ':1.44' (uid=1000 pid=2615 comm="/usr/lib64/libexec/org_kde_powerdevil -session 101") (using servicehelper) Jan 30 22:19:11 ostw org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[28587]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object Jan 30 22:19:11 ostw org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[28587]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object Jan 30 22:19:11 ostw org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper[28587]: QDBusArgument: read from a write-only object Jan 30 22:19:11 ostw dbus-daemon[1133]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper' ``` When using `journalctl -f` to track the events, I found this kind of messages pops up when the system reducing and restoring the screen backlight. This is not a problem but I think the three duplicated messages in the middle are not necessary to normal user and may cause confusion. However, I do not know whether they are related to something bigger. Could anyone look into this and do something like either suppressing the messages or fixing the problem when it is necessary? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmail2] [Bug 339845] Folder sync goes up to 1000000% and CPU load is heavy for this whole time
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339845 CnZhx changed: What|Removed |Added CC||z...@cnzhx.net --- Comment #3 from CnZhx --- I'd like to confirm that this symptom still exists in recent KMail2. I have seen my accounts (with IMAP on Gmail) run into tens of thousands percent every now and then. For example, by entering into Kontact -> Configure Kontact -> Mail -> Accounts, one account shows "Syncing folder 'Inbox' (266500%)". After clicking "Modify..." but doing nothing and just clicking "Ok" or "Cancel", it turns to "Ready" after a splashing of some texts. This was also mentioned in a post in forms.kde.org by Dan Vrátil (progdan). Here is the link: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=215&t=139394#p375588 I am currently using following environment, ``` openSUSE Tumbleweed: 20180125 KDE Plasma: 5.11.95 Qt: 5.10.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.42.0 KDE Applications: 17.12.1 Kernel: 4.14.14-1-default ``` -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Spectacle] [Bug 389409] Input box of "Delay" changes length while clicking arrow to increase the seconds

[Spectacle] [Bug 389409] Input box of "Delay" changes length while clicking arrow to increase the seconds
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389409 --- Comment #4 from CnZhx --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) ... > What's the font and point size? Hi, Nate, thanks for you encouragement. I realised this is an edge case. Therefore, you may not want to fix it. I understand that's completely natural. I am using default settings from KDE on openSUSE, which are Noto Sans 10 for General, Hack 9 for Fixed width, Noto Sans 8 for Small and Noto Sans 10 for Toolbar, Menu and Window title respectively. The DPI is forced to 168. When I reduce it to 144, then this problem disappears. Both cases have scaling set to 1. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Breeze] [Bug 383475] kmail and Kleopatra missing/wrong tray icon for Breeze Dark

(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > Are you using a non-standard font? [...] > That might be the cause. I forced a non-standard (168) DPI but with display scaling set to "1" so the GUI and font in it may not being scaled proportionally. I am in a non-standard use case because I have an external display that has lower DPI. I need to find an acceptable balance between my laptop and this external screen. > Can you provide a screen recording in the .webm format? I like > SimpleScreenRecorder for this purpose.
