[dolphin] [Bug 473999] New: Folder expanding on wrong position

2023-08-31 Thread Daniel Holgerson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473999

Bug ID: 473999
Summary: Folder expanding on wrong position
Classification: Applications
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 23.08.0
  Platform: Archlinux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: view-engine: details mode
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: dan...@buccaneersdan.de
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
This is a possible duplicate of issues 386317, 430177.
When setting dolphin to details mode for and sorting the right side tree-view
by size folders aren't expanding their contents at the correct position.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set the file-view to details mode.
2. Sort by size
3. Change to a different folder
4. Expand some of the folders in the file-view

OBSERVED RESULT
Some of the folders and files contained in the expanded folders (Step 4) will
show at wrong positions in the tree-view

[Tokodon] [Bug 471519] New: TextArea is only displaying a portion of a long toot

2023-06-27 Thread Daniel Holgerson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471519

Bug ID: 471519
Summary: TextArea is only displaying a portion of a long toot
Classification: Applications
   Product: Tokodon
   Version: 23.04.2
  Platform: Archlinux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: dan...@buccaneersdan.de
CC: c...@carlschwan.eu, j...@redstrate.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When editing an overly lengthy toot only a maximum of 710 chars are editable in
the text-area.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on the 3-circle menu below the post
2. Click Edit in context menu

OBSERVED RESULT
The text-area simply isn't scrollable, not with the scroll wheel or cursor
keys. The scrollbar isn't displayed, although the full text is contained in the
text-area, because with CTRL+A and CTRL+C the whole text is copied to the
clipboard.

EXPECTED RESULT
Be able to scroll

[konsole] [Bug 444135] Open dolphin feature prohibits symbol output

2021-10-20 Thread Daniel Holgerson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444135

Thank you so much. Finally I have the name for this feature and can form a
coherent google search. I already saw this config-page but managed to not
connect the dots here. Maybe I should get into kde-development and propose an
little help-icon that plays an animated gif on hover, as I already did a
C++/QT5 project. To conclude this is a feature which works 100% correctly and
this issue can be closed.

2021-10-20 Thread Daniel Holgerson

Bug ID: 444135
Summary: Open dolphin feature prohibits symbol output
   Product: konsole
   Version: 21.08.2
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: dan...@buccaneersdan.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

There is a feature, presumably of konsole, that if the shift key is pressed, it
displays small numbered box overlays on top of files and directories and
additionally underlines those files. I seems that if I press "Shift + ." (which
should produce a colon-symbol) on a DE-keyboard layout, a dolphin-window with
the current path is opened.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a konsole tab
2. Press "Shift + ." (I want a colon-symbol to be printed)
3. Get a directory listing with "ls"
4. Press "Shift + ." again

OBSERVED RESULT
At 2. the symbol is correctly printed
At 4. a directory listing is displayed so the "shift + ." triggers dolphin

EXPECTED RESULT
The symbol should be printed at 2. or 4.
The surely useful dolphin-feature should be easyly deactivateable or the
key-combo should be modifiable, which I failed to accomplish both.

[plasmashell] [Bug 430276] Idle desktop crashing KWin

Thanks for answering. This can be closed. I wasn't fully aware of the
philosophy of debian stable (only security and bug fixes and only exceptional
full updates of packages), but I can't say I'm missing much, apart from things
like plasma. I fear the only considerable success in convincing the Debian
maintainers of anything atm would be a made with metric tons of moneys.

tl;dr: I'll be submitting bugs again (or presumably not considering my smooth
ride with 5.14), when I'm on a more recent Plasma version.

Have a great whatever it is you're celebrating with, the passing of the blessed
year 2020. See 'ya.

[plasmashell] [Bug 430276] New: Idle desktop crashing KWin

2020-12-11 Thread Daniel Holgerson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430276

Bug ID: 430276
   Summary: Idle desktop crashing KWin
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.14.5
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: dan...@buccaneersdan.de
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Application: plasmashell (5.14.5)

Qt Version: 5.11.3
Frameworks Version: 5.54.0
Operating System: Linux 5.9.0-12.1-liquorix-amd64 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)

-- Information about the crash:
Fresh start of PC opened terminal. Left for 10 mins. On return saw a
notification in tray of this crash. I'm on Debian Buster, therefore on an aged
and tinkered with Plasma. This crash as well as the very few other I
experienced are actually no crashes as I don't notice anything of it apart the
bug-report. Can happily continue work as opposed to a total stand still on
other systems. In conclusion: I wouldn't want the devs or testers to funnel
time to this non-issues of an outdated DE and ultimately be distracted from
working on more current version.

The crash does not seem to be reproducible.
