Thanks! Previously I forgot to move the .desktop file in the correct folder. I
now see the action for the external disk.

--- Comment #49 from Davide Olianas <n...@davideolianas.com> ---
The problem is still present with KDE Neon (KDE Frameworks 5.41).

The script usb-drive-eject works when launched from the CLI. The .desktop
launcher does not work, I receive the following error message: "The desktop
entry of type Service is unknown".

Do you know a distro with the version of KDE Frameworks you mentioned so that I
can report if it works on my PC?

I'm currently on Kubuntu 16.04, KDE Frameworks 5.18.0. udisksctl works for me,
but the "safe remove" from Dolphin doesn't spin down the disk.

Doh! I was so excited that I went to the download page instead of the git repo.
I pulled from master and WOW the new text tool looks nice!

I have just tested the multiline tool in Krita 4.0.0-pre-alpha (x86_64
appimage).

The glitches are still present when editing the text, but they go away when I
move the text box.

Additionally, I noticed that the textbox "flickers" when moving it with the
"Select Shapes Tool".

Obviously it's still a pain in the butt but I hope this helps in finding the
bug.

In the following days I'll try git bisect, hopefully I should find an old
version that compiles and doesn't have the bug. In this way developers could
understand where the problem is.

I think I experience this exact bug and it appears I've found a workaround.

Steps:
* open an image
* click with the contiguous selection tool -> selection doesn't appear
* Choose Select/Reselect -> now the selection appears for the current selection
and all the following ones

[krita] [Bug 372969] New: bad rendering of multiline text

2016-11-26 Thread Davide Olianas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372969

Bug ID: 372969
Summary: bad rendering of multiline text
   Product: krita
   Version: git master
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Text Tool
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: n...@davideolianas.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 102457
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=102457=edit
cli output

Krita 3.0.92 (git decde84)
Qt: 5.7.0
Kde plasma: 5.8.4
Kde frameworks: 5.28.0
Linux 4.8.10-1-ARCH

Graphics card R9 280, xf86-video-ati driver

I have three rendering problems when using the multiline text tool. Steps to
reproduce: select the text tool, then in tool options choose "multiline", then
click and drag to create the box. Start typing.

First problem: bad rendering while editing.

Second problem: it's worse when I select text.

Third problem: select text. Now choose "shape manipulation tool". Click on the
text in order to move the textbox (exactly where the characters are). The text
will be highlighted with a blue background. This doesn't go away until I edit
the text. This doesn't happen if I click with the manipulation tool in the
textbox but not over the characters.

2016-11-13 Thread Davide Olianas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372441

Bug ID: 372441
Summary: Konsole Desktop file missing StartupWMClass
   Product: konsole
   Version: 16.08.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org

This bug is the same as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350793 but for the
konsole package.

The .desktop file misses "StartupWMClass=konsole" which fixes bad behaviour
with gnome dash (see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774353).

[frameworks-solid] [Bug 270808] KDE should spin-down external hard disks when 'safely removed'

2016-03-14 Thread Davide Olianas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270808

--- Comment #31 from Davide Olianas <n...@davideolianas.com> ---
I modified the patch to work with the current git master branch. Should I
attach it?
I'm trying it on manjaro linux, plasma-desktop 5.5.5-1.1, kio 5.19.0-1, dolphin
15.12.2-1.

Still, it doesn't work. I have an external usb drive with three partitions,
when I choose "safely remove" on the last mounted partition, the hard disk is
still spinning. udisks --detach works for me too.
