[systemsettings] [Bug 474865] New: Dialog does not read autologin settings from config file before first use
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474865 Bug ID: 474865 Summary: Dialog does not read autologin settings from config file before first use Classification: Applications Product: systemsettings Version: 5.27.8 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_sddm Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: eidu...@outlook.com CC: k...@david-redondo.de, k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: --- Possibly related: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460053 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471356 SUMMARY The "Automatically log in as user" option under "Behaviour" remains greyed out if /etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf is edited directly before it is first used graphically. Also, changing it graphically later messes with the theme settings. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Change kde_settings.conf without opening systemsettings, such as: [Autologin] Session=plasmawayland User=mainuser [Theme] Current=breeze 2. Open "Behaviour" in kcm_sddm and observe the displayed autologin settings. 3. Change the settings graphically. 4. Observe the changes in kde_settings.conf. OBSERVED RESULT After 1 & 2, the autologin settings remain greyed out and incorrect. After 3 & 4, the autologin settings start working normally, regardless of where they are changed (file or dialog). After 3 & 4, the theme setting is unset. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Elisa] [Bug 471520] New: Embedded categories do not reload when already selected
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471520 Bug ID: 471520 Summary: Embedded categories do not reload when already selected Classification: Applications Product: Elisa Version: 23.04.2 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr Reporter: eidu...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- Condition: - In Elisa settings, the "Embed category in sidebar" option is set to e.g. "Genres". - We have several albums tagged e.g. Genre = Rock. Temporary workaround: - Select another genre in the left sidebar and then go back to Rock. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Elisa] [Bug 458005] Cannot exit (or start) fullscreen with F11
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458005 Eidur Eidsson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||eidu...@outlook.com --- Comment #6 from Eidur Eidsson --- Looking at version 23.04.2 The application has an "Enter Full Screen" function and an "Exit Full Screen" lifeline button when active. This makes the interface fill the screen, which is similar to what F11 does in many programs such as VLC and Web browsers. However, there is no default "Toggle Full Screen" shortcut, or even the ability to assign one! Meanwhile, F11 is assigned to "Toggle Party Mode", which is a rather different function and quite unexpected. Perhaps we can find a better default shortcut for Party Mode and leave F11 for Full Screen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Elisa] [Bug 429671] file deletion UI
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429671 Eidur Eidsson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||eidu...@outlook.com --- Comment #1 from Eidur Eidsson --- Have you considered Dolphin (incl. the Information sidebar), Kfind, Kid3, or a combination of these for such large-scale management? The main job of a music player is reading files. Destructive editing can be easily confused with clear-playlist actions, which adds anxiety about the software's function. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[knetattach] [Bug 420135] New: Network Folder Wizard does not accept protocol name in server field
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420135 Bug ID: 420135 Summary: Network Folder Wizard does not accept protocol name in server field Product: knetattach Version: 5.18.4 Platform: unspecified OS: unspecified Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: eidu...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- When using the Network Folder Wizard to add an FTP location, a user may enter "ftp://; in front of the server address in the "Server:" field. This prompts an error message as only the numerical address should be entered. It may take the user a long time to figure out why it doesn't work. It would therefore be helpful to either: 1) Automatically remove "ftp://; from the string, or... 2) present a meaningful error message about the "Server:" field. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Breeze] [Bug 413302] Request: Additional icons for fixed document formats
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413302 --- Comment #2 from Eidur Eidsson --- There is a precedent for this. For example, "video-x-generic.svg" is a grey filmstrip icon that is used for a number of different video formats. More commonly used video formats reuse the same design but get their own colour. Then there is "application-x-shockwave-flash.svg", which has its own logo on top of the same filmstrip design. The fixed document formats could follow such a three-tier approach, reducing the amount of work required. Including a special a logo for a given format is entirely optional, which is fortunate because a recognizable logo isn't always available. PDF and EPUB are in tier one already. A select few (like DjVu and OpenXPS) could have their own colour and the rest would be links to a generic one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Breeze] [Bug 413303] New: Icon links for geospatial mime types missing or incorrect
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413303 Bug ID: 413303 Summary: Icon links for geospatial mime types missing or incorrect Product: Breeze Version: 5.17.0 Platform: unspecified OS: unspecified Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Icons Assignee: visual-des...@kde.org Reporter: eidu...@outlook.com CC: kain...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- (1) The mimetypes collection contains a link called "application-vnd-google-earth-kml", but this is not associated with any mime type. [Breeze] [Bug 413302] New: Request: Additional icons for fixed document formats
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413302 Bug ID: 413302 Summary: Request: Additional icons for fixed document formats Product: Breeze Version: 5.17.0 Platform: unspecified OS: unspecified Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Icons Assignee: visual-des...@kde.org Reporter: eidu...@outlook.com CC: kain...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- There is already an icon style for ebooks and other fixed document formats, currently in use for "application-pdf" and "application-epub+zip". These consist of a coloured book graphic with a white logo on top (larger resolutions) and a coloured logo-only (smaller resolutions). This style could be expanded to include some commonly used formats that are currently represented as office documents. There could also be a generic icon set for formats that do not have their own design yet. This could be a grey book without a logo (larger resolutions) and a grey book logo (smaller resolutons). Proposed new icons with their own logos and colours: OpenXPS, "application-oxps" - logo: paper aeroplane - colour: light blue DjVu, "image-vnd.djvu+multipage" - see bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399425 Formats that could use a generic icon (for now): Mobipocket, "application-xmobipocket-ebook" Kindle, "application-vnd.amazon.mobi8-ebook" ComicBook, "application-vnd.comicbook+zip" "application-vnd.comicbook+rar" "application-x-cb7" "application-x-cbt" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Breeze] [Bug 399425] Missing and inconsistent DjVu icons
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399425 Eidur Eidsson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||eidu...@outlook.com --- Comment #1 from Eidur Eidsson --- Proposed solution: (1) Create a new icon set (same for light and dark themes). - Style: based on "application-pdf" / "application-epub+zip" (logo-only for smaller icons; logo-on-a-book for larger icons) - Logo: paperclip, paperclip with/inside a sheet, or similar - Colour: violet (light shade) (2) Apply the new set to both "image-vnd.djvu+multipage" (highest priority) and "image-vnd.djvu". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
