[lokalize] [Bug 477366] New: Lokalize does not support "ast" locale in some parts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477366 Bug ID: 477366 Summary: Lokalize does not support "ast" locale in some parts Classification: Applications Product: lokalize Version: 23.08.3 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: sdepi...@gmail.com Reporter: en...@softastur.org CC: aa...@kde.org, sha...@ukr.net Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 163361 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=163361=edit Two translation memory windows where "ast" locale is sneaky SUMMARY *** For years, I was aware about this bug but I just ignore it because it was not affecting my workflow until now. For some reason, Lokalize misses "ast" locale in various parts of the app making impossible, for example, to manage memory translations correctly. I think Loklize assumes that "as" locale is the ISO 639-1 code for Asturian but this is very wrong, Asturian has no ISO 639-1 code, only ISO 639-2. However, if translation memory is automatically created by Lokalize, "ast" locale appears magically. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Try to create a new translation memory 2. On "Target language", see there is no "ast" locale OBSERVED RESULT "ast" locale appears inconsistently across the app EXPECTED RESULT "ast" locale should appear across the app consistently SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.112.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I attach an screenshot -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Since 2 weeks ago, Lokalize is unable to list all folders and files on that drive. I tried to see what fails but I don't know where the problem is. However, projects, files and folders on local storage work just fine. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Mount an NFS drive 2. Open a project located on a NFS Drive 3. Wait to see nothing happens OBSERVED RESULT Lokalize is unable to list all files and folders on a NFS drive. The progress bar located on the bottom left of the window makes no progress, it is always at 0%. EXPECTED RESULT Lokalize should be able to list all files and folders on any NFS drive. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399387 Bug ID: 399387 Summary: Integrate KDE-l10n infrastructure on Lokalize Product: lokalize Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: sha...@ukr.net Reporter: en...@softastur.org Target Milestone: --- It would be nice if Lokalize included some method to setup automatically the translation environment to start working on the translations as soon as possible. If you don't understand what I'm saying, here's the detailed explanation: User starts Lokalize for the first time Lokalize prompts to the user if he/she wants to setup a KDE-l10n project User agrees and Lokalize starts asking some questions (locale that is going to be used, git or svn integration, id_rsa authentication key, rol of the translator, download glossary if locale has it... etc) to configure the translation environment User has his/her locale ready to translate in a easy and quick way Something like that -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
