[kscreenlocker] [Bug 485084] Screen Locker broken on resume from sleep with wayland protocol error (wl_display@1: error 1: invalid arguments for wl_display@1.get_registry)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485084 --- Comment #12 from Enrico --- I'm using, and always used, a single monitor connected to my Intel NUC. I've never used multiple screens -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kscreenlocker] [Bug 485084] Screen Locker broken on resume from sleep
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485084 --- Comment #8 from Enrico --- This bug also happens on OpenBSD Plasma 6, where loginctl is not available so it can't be fixed with the CTRL+ALT+F2 trick. Since this bug report is not so active, I can suppose it's something related to some hardware or specific configuration because I get this bug on every distro I tried (KaOS/6, Kubuntu/5.27, OpenBSD/6) but most of the users don't. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[systemsettings] [Bug 340982] No way to change just the date format but not its actual translated text
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340982 --- Comment #267 from Enrico Tagliavini --- (In reply to Anton from comment #266) > I'm not sure what the situation is but I have just installed kde-full on > Ubuntu 24.04 and it appears there is no way to not have the unbelievably > stupid American date format, almost 10 years after this bug was created. > > I must be missing something, and it must be possible. When you click on "Set > time format" it takes me to the "Region & Language" settings. There are no > US/North American values configured, only British English. The British do > not format their dates MM/DD/. So there is at least that bug. What QT > does is obviously irrelevant... I use American English as the system language, but I've set (via the KDE GUI, not from command line) the date format to be English Irish. This shows the dates in DD/MM/YY format and sets the environment variable LC_TIME=en_IE.UTF-8 . The Plasma digital clock shows the date of today as 22/06/2024. I hope this helps you. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kscreenlocker] [Bug 485084] Screen Locker broken on resume from sleep
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485084 --- Comment #7 from Enrico --- Related to this bug, I suggest also the change the error message which asks to press CTRL+ALT+F2 because it doesn't work at least on Wayland. I must use CTRL+ALT+F3, not F2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 477933] Plasma crashed in PlasmaQuick::PopupPlasmaWindow::setVisualParent after taking an action that resizes certain widgets
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477933 Enrico changed: What|Removed |Added CC||enric...@hotmail.com --- Comment #6 from Enrico --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > Not able to reproduce this Hello, trying to reproduce this bug I've created https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=479066 which is similar. I can reproduce 100% of the times on KaOS and Neon Unstable. Since I'm sure they are the same bug (plasma doesn't crash for me), I created another bug report. [plasmashell] [Bug 479066] New: Automatic exit from "Edit Mode" if changing panel height after adding a Widget
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=479066 Bug ID: 479066 Summary: Automatic exit from "Edit Mode" if changing panel height after adding a Widget Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.91.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: enric...@hotmail.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY *** Hello, the panel's EDIT MODE seems to crash when changing height after adding a widget. I've tested it on both KaOS and Neon Unstable. I found this bug trying to reproduce https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477933 *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right click on the panel -> Add Widget 2. Add a Widget to the panel, for example the Bluetooth 3. Keep the left widget bar opened 4. Right click on the panel > Enter Edit mode 5. Press the "+" button to increase panel height OBSERVED RESULT The dialog to increase/decrease panel height seems to crash as it's closed immediately. Moreover, if you hover the mouse on the system tray icons you can see that you're not in Edit mode. If you right click again in the panel, you see "Exit edit mode". If you click on Exit edit mode you actually ENTER edit mode again (hovering the system tray icons you see "remove" and others edit commands) EXPECTED RESULT Changing height should not cause this problem SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KaOS (2023) KDE Plasma Version: 5.91.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.247.0 Qt Version: 6.6.1 Kernel Version: 6.5.11-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've tested it on a Neon Unstable Live disc and it seems to work. I can't see users, probably because of the Live system, but I can create them. New users appear in the list, so it seems to be some kind of KaOS packaging issues. I'll report it to KaOS support channels. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

See the screencast attached. It seems like the Dolphin page is not refreshed when switching, but only when the mouse hovers the window. As you can see in the recording, the glitches disappear when I move the mouse inside the "Folder" part of the window. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open dolphin 2. *IMPORTANT* I noticed that this behavior appears only when the folder contains a number of file which makes the scroll bar appear (Details View Mode). You can reproduce it only on the folders that show the right-side scroll bar. It doesn't work in folders with only few files. Otherwise, you can use a folder with only few files, but you have to reduce the Dolphin window to make the scroll bar appear. 3. Change to Details view mode 4. Change to Compact view mode 5. [systemsettings] [Bug 475477] Can't write 3 digits numbers in "switch off after"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475477 --- Comment #2 from Enrico --- I run into this "issue" because the lockscreen always broke in a previous version of Neon Unstable, asking for loginctl unlock-session, so I tried to change the energy settings values and run into that little bug. I think the user should (1) be able to enter a 3-digits number, or (2) should not be able to go over 2-digits number (99) with the arrows buttons Anyway it's not a big issue and probably affects only few users, so I totally understand if you prefer to focus on something else. The Thunderbird icon appears in the panel (because the app is open). I can add it to the panel right-clicking on it, but if I close Thunderbird and restart it from that icon the app is opened with a new empty profile. 2) Right-click on the Thunderbird entry in KickOff menu and select to add it to the panel. Thunderbird is correctly added to the panel and it start with the correct profile, but everytime I start it the icon on the panel is doubled. [konversation] [Bug 466040] Konversation dumps core on exit
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466040 --- Comment #4 from Enrico --- Hello, I can't test in on Sid because the whole Debian is in a kind of "freeze" for the upcoming release of "Bookworm". It will probably take 1-2 month and I have been told that I won't receive this kind of updates until the final release. Anyway, I tested it on Ubuntu 23.04 beta with Frameworks 104 and Plasma 5.27.4 and konversation exits normally. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
