I'm still on KDE 4, though, and don't have any systems updated to KDE 5 to test with, yet (hoping this fall when we switch to the next Ubuntu LTS, or maybe sooner whenever PCLOS gets KDE 5 working and avaliable). You might also check in the Colors tab in the Colors settings page, in Color set: View, what the Normal Background and Alternate Background are set to.
