[okular] [Bug 472218] Freehand annotation jagged / frayed lines with drawing tablet (Windows)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472218 Felipe Dilho Alves changed: What|Removed |Added CC||felipedi...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from Felipe Dilho Alves --- I am also experiencing this same issue with my HP tablet 11 running Windows 11 with a HP active pen (I don't think it uses Wacom technology), also the lines take some processing before they do appear, there is probably some problem with the input filtering that instead of ignoring the majority of the signals to produce a smooth line with a small amount of points, the program seems to be including all the input data with its respective noise, which is generating this spiked/jagged effect on the lines. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

After that, everything went back to normal. No other apps were running, because I had just booted the computer. I could replicate it no problem by the exact description I just gave. I marked this bug as a separate from what the KDE Crash Handler outputted as similars because: 1- I could move the files by dragging them from one place to another (with the mouse). 2- I hadn't ran any other app, it was a fresh boot. As far as customs go, I have some Plasma custom looks, but I don't think they may be the cause of the problem: "Expose" global theme, kvantum [(version 2.1 compiled from source) "Expose" theme] application style, "Expose" plasma style, "Expose" colors, "Expose" window decorations, default fonts in oSUSE TW, "Windows XP" icons, "Hackneyed (scalable)" cursor, default options plus some open fonts installed in the font management & "Windows XP logo splash español" as, obviosuly, the splash screen. First time this has happenned to me; I am pretty sure I have done this action before, but this is the first time crashing just like that. I hope this can be of help. The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: Plasma (plasmashell), signal: Segmentation fault PID: 2689 (plasmashell) UID: 1000 (popo) GID: 1000 (popo) Signal: 11 (SEGV) Timestamp: Thu 2023-12-14 22:13:16 -03 (9min ago) Command Line: /usr/bin/plasmashell --no-respawn Executable: /usr/bin/plasmashell Control Group: /user.slice/user-1000.slice/user@1000.service/session.slice/plasma-plasmashell.service Unit: user@1000.service User Unit: plasma-plasmashell.service Slice: user-1000.slice Owner UID: 1000 (popo) Boot ID: aa45e8ae6a554664aa4654e2f4917a03 Machine ID: bed4720c56b04dbb8d29076438e819aa Hostname: suselgx-popo Storage: /var/lib/systemd/coredump/core.plasmashell.1000.aa45e8ae6a554664aa4654e2f4917a03.2689.170260279600.zst (present) Size on Disk: 20.4M Message: Process 2689 (plasmashell) of user 1000 dumped core.
