[plasmashell] [Bug 388384] New: Suspending with composition enabled allows to see the contents of the screen

2017-12-31 Thread Francesc Ortiz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388384

Bug ID: 388384
Summary: Suspending with composition enabled allows to see the
contents of the screen
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.10.5
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: francescor...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

When you suspend the computer the lock screen appears with a fade in. With
composition disabled, the fade in comes from a solid background. With
composition enabled, the fade in comes from the actual screen contents. This
allows you to take a camera, press record, unsuspend the computer and get a
photo of what the user had on the screen.

When the desktop grid or window overview are active suspending the computer
does not trigger session locking.

It is exactly the same than this other plasma4 bug:

[Spectacle] [Bug 359184] Preview not working for small screenshots

2016-03-13 Thread Francesc Ortiz via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359184

--- Comment #5 from Francesc Ortiz <francescor...@gmail.com> ---
Same problem. Additional details: whenever you resize the window to a size
where the preview doesn't need to be downscaled, the preview is gone. If you
downsize the window, the preview appears again. The image is always saved
correctly.
