Than i tried again with watercolour-brushes. Most of them work totally fine, but the ones which don`t (at least on my system) are: J) Water C Spread (here i used 500px "thikness" of the brushstroke. During (fast)stroking squares appear and disturb my concentration for the lining. Than i changed and used: J) Water C Spread Wide Area and it really got worse... (used a standard thickness of 200px here) For me it look like that "there was too much information coming into the chache during stroking". Helpful for you? Looks like the RAM is only with these two mentioned brushes " overloaded" and can't cope with the amount of pixel-information. The squares appear shortly in some other watercolour-brushes as well, but with these two brushes, they appear and than stay on the painting. I'm sorry, but i can't explain it in other words. Have a very little knowledge of basic computerstuff. I didn't switch any visibility on or off. Pls. excuse me, if i don't answer immediatly. Being a family-man, i don't have always the time to check emails or using my tablet. Thank you vor your help! Herman Am 23. New try: Does the rectangle disappear if you toggle visibility of the layer off and on? /Okay, just tried it.1. Did one brush-stroke (slowly) .Maybe one or two squares appeared shortly and than vanished.//than2. did a fast stroke. Square`s appeared (around 6, 7 - 8), squares appeared and STAYED.Than i switched the VISIBILITY of the layer OFF and ON again and the squares were gone. F.E. didn`t know, what you meant with "Angle mode" Did you mean changing the angle of the brush-point(-top)? Putting in some screenshots and hope they give you a bit of a clue, what could be wrong. Outcome: Consistent crash. Scenario 6: Editing existing alarm, which has wav file chosen. - Volume override is set to 50% - Alarm saved and reopened for editing. - "Try" button pressed. Outcome: Consistent crash. Scenario 7: Same as scenario 6, but locale is set to "C". Outcome: Consistent crash. The only thing that i noticed is that error is the same (got this when i ran kalarm in konsole): "Assertion 'c->state == PA_CONTEXT_CONNECTING' failed at ../src/pulse/context.c:917, function on_connection(). Aborting." I am 100% sure that: 1. My sound system is works fine (i hear sounds, i didn't change pulseaudio settings much) 2. My sound files are not corrupted -- i can play them in KAlarm. So i am sure the problem is on KAlarm's side.
