New crash information added by DrKonqi

plasmashell (5.24.4) using Qt 5.15.3

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I restarted plasmashell using script i have bound to hotkey. Script:
kquitapp5 plasmashell || killall plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

Before the crash plasmashell was bugged after plugging in external monitor.
Plasmashell restarted normally, but DrKonqi icon appeared.

- Custom settings of the application:

I have moved panel to left side of the screen and set it's width to 80 pixels.

[xdg-desktop-portal-kde] [Bug 446041] New: Clicking screencast tray icon should not stop recording

2021-11-24 Thread Jacob Chodubski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446041

Bug ID: 446041
Summary: Clicking screencast tray icon should not stop
recording
   Product: xdg-desktop-portal-kde
   Version: 5.23.3
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: jchodub...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

While recording screen on wayland there is a tray icon named *Recording screen
"name_of_screen"* . Clicking it stops screensharing. This is very unexpected
for 2 reasons:
 - Most of other icons in tray upon click invoke either a window with more
options or open an applet. No action is done immediately.
 - Only way user would know clicking it will stop screensharing is by hovering
over with a mouse and seeing tooltip.

The most expected behavior would be opening an applet which contains a button
"Stop recording". It could also contain additional information such as: what is
being recorded (window or full screen), how long since recording has started,
what application is recording.

Here is the same with qt5-base-debug installed. For additional symbols I would
need to compile plasma myself if I understand ArchWiki correctly.

So far I've been able to get following backtrace. Is this enough or do I need
to install additional debugging symbols (if yes for which files)?
