[systemsettings] [Bug 385609] New: Switching from 3 column to 2 column view should show submodules in left column

2017-10-11 Thread Jan Wiele
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385609

Bug ID: 385609
Summary: Switching from 3 column to 2 column view should show
submodules in left column
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.11.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: sidebarview
  Assignee: notm...@gmail.com
  Reporter: j...@wiele.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,
I find it a bit confusing that the left column does not show the submodule
view, when resizing the systemsettings window from fullscreeen to
non-fullscreen (3 to 2 column layout).
I have to reselect the item in the left column to start the transition to the
submodule view.

Steps to Reproduce
1) Start systemsettings
2) Make it a fullscreen window
3) Select item with submodules (e.g. "symbols")
4) Resize the window so that it switches to the two cloumn layout

Actual Results:
Left sidebar shows the main module

Expected Results:
Left sidebar shows the submodule entries

plasmashell crash backtrace when moving panel on wayland

Hi,
plasmashell crashes when I move a panel.
My setup:
3 Monitors
left: laptop screen (2560x1440 on 14" (somewhat HiDPI))
middle: Dell U2415
right: Dell U2415

Normally, I use the Xorg-session. But today, I wanted to try the
wayland-session. After starting the wayland-session, my default desktop (with
the custom background I know from my Xorg-session) is on the right monitor (in
the xorg-session it is on the left monitor). When grabbing the "move" button of
the panel and releasing it, plasmashell crashes. I have attached the backtrace.

Fixed for me too! (nvidia 450.57-1 on Arch)

When disabling compositing with Alt+Shift+F12 there is a brief moment where the
panel gets a dark color (like before the fix), but that color disappears after
2s and everything works! :)

Bug ID: 371409
Summary: Crash/Exit if Screenshot is dragged to Chrome
   Product: Spectacle
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General

When taking a screenshot and dragging it to Chrome (not releasing it),
Spectacle exits with the message "The X11 connection broke (error 4). Did the
X11 server die?". This does not happen with other applications like Dolphin.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Spectacle, take a Screenshot
2. Drag the Screenshot to Chrome, the mouse cursor changes to an arrow with an
red X
3. Spectacle exists without user interaction

Actual Results:
Spectacle exists (gdb: [Inferior 1 (process 9692) exited with code 01])

Expected Results:
Chrome should accept the image, e.g. to attach a screenshot in a slack/whatsapp
message

  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: j...@wiele.org

I often use the feature to separate a tab of one konsole to create a second
konsole window.
But atm you cannot grab the tab and flip it to the edge of the screen to get a
new window. It takes 1-2 seconds until the the tab follows the mouse cursor.

I've attached a screenshot, which shows the problem of the delay. As one can
see, I'm already near the edge of my screen with the cursor, but the tab just
separated.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open konsole, create a second tab.
2. Grab the tab, dont release the mouse button, move the mouse a little bit.
3. It takes about one second until the tab is separated and follows the mouse.
4. If you dont wait until the tab is separated, nothing happens.

[Spectacle] [Bug 362450] New: Capturing small rectangular regions fails

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

  Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com
  Reporter: j...@wiele.org

Hi,
I am using Spectacle 16.0.4.0. When I try to capture a small rectangular region
(50x50 pixel) I get an empty result preview, sometimes it shows a distorted
picture of my cursor. Larger regions work just fine. In the case if an empty
preview, saving the screenshot works. In the second case, saving will create a
0 Byte file.

Im running the proprietary Nvidia drivers 364.19-1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Capture a small rectangular region

Actual Results:
None or broken preview

Expected Results:
Preview showing the captured area

To receive the distorted cursor: Enable to capture the cursor, take a new
screenshot, select the region to capture, move the cursor into this area, press
enter.

Regarding the broken file: I'm not sure where the 0 Byte file in my test files
comes from, but saving a file with a distorted cursor seems to work fine. I'm
assuming saving works all the time
