[kontact] [Bug 385025] Kontact Calendar

2017-10-16 Thread Jeff Fitzmaurice
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385025

OK. I tried to reinstall KOrganizer. That didn't work. Then I checked my
Calendar profiles in Kontact. I had one that wasn't configured, so I deleted
it. Then I restarted KOrganizer. That did the trick. I guess Kontact was
attempting to open the top Calendar profile which was not configured. Once I
deleted that from the list, Kontact automatically selected the next on the
list.

It works perfectly now.

I confirm this is happening in Fedora 29 64bit KDE using Kmail and Kontact.
Print Preview turns a blank page. Also, attempting a physical printed copy
turns a physical blank page. I have all the latest updates. Printing does not
work from Kmail via Kontact.

[kwin] [Bug 399080] Kwin Crash

2018-09-29 Thread Jeff Fitzmaurice
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399080

(In reply to Martin Flöser from comment #1)
> Unfortunately the backtrace is lacking debug symbols. If you are able to
> reproduce please install debug packages and attach a new backtrace.

Actually, I should have recognized the symptoms of a classic Video Card
failure. Erratic colors, screen locking, and applications which demand more
from the card crashing. Kwin (and associated applications) tend to crash on me
when my Video Card gets weak. And now I have black screen, but can boot into
the terminal.

Long story short, you can close this. The issue is hardware, not KDE.

I'm pretty sure my issue is a hardware issue. It is a classic case of Video
Card failure. Whenever it begins to fail, I have issues with Kwin (and
associated applications.)

Long story short, this can be closed. Issue is hardware related and not KDE.

[kontact] [Bug 385025] Kontact Calendar

2017-10-16 Thread Jeff Fitzmaurice
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385025

OK. I tried to reinstall KOrganizer. That didn't work. Then I checked my
Calendar profiles in Kontact. I had one that wasn't configured, so I deleted
it. Then I restarted KOrganizer. That did the trick. I guess Kontact was
attempting to open the top Calendar profile which was not configured. Once I
deleted that from the list, Kontact automatically selected the next on the
list.

It works perfectly now.
