[konsole] [Bug 459400] Ability to make Konsole color scheme follow system color scheme
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=459400 --- Comment #3 from Jeffrey Bouter --- @nate That's a good suggestion, but would probably require big changes in the .colorscheme file layout before it could support light/dark modes, right? Would it not be an option instead to allow users to configure their own preferred light and dark themes, right in the konsole settings? I think that's what iTerm2 on Mac OS does, and it adds the option for users to pick which light and dark colour schemes they prefer. Slightly off-topic, but the ability to change Konsole colour themes inside Koi has been discussed too (https://github.com/baduhai/Koi/issues/4), but sadly has been closed. Koi, for those who don't know allows setting a schedule (based on time or location) on which to change KDE/Plasma themes from light to dark mode and vice versa. Currently, Konsole is the only native KDE application that won't change colourschemes along with the rest of the desktop. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

These VDIs are based on Ubuntu 20.04, and users are free to choose between GNOME (default), MATE and KDE desktops. Most of the users have opted for the Kubuntu desktop. In a testing environment, I am testing an upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04. For GNOME this goes fine, however for KDE there's an issue with kscreenlocker. It seems as though once the screen has locked, input (both keyboard and mouse) does not trigger the unlock/password box in order to unlock the screen. [systemsettings] [Bug 426174] invert scroll direction shows as enabled but is not actually working upon rebooting
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426174 Jeffrey Bouter changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@kn0x.org --- Comment #9 from Jeffrey Bouter --- I just updated to plasma 5.22 and opted to start using Wayland. Natural Scrolling works fine on touchpads, but Invert Scroll Direction doesn't work for mice (I've tested on two different devices). The only difference for me, compared to the initial bug report, is that it actually never works. [neon] [Bug 432305] New: Calamares crashes when using custom partitioning: LUKS + LVM
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432305 Bug ID: 432305 Summary: Calamares crashes when using custom partitioning: LUKS + LVM Product: neon Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: Live/Install images Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org Reporter: k...@kn0x.org CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 135300 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=135300=edit crash report (without debug symbols) of the calamares crash SUMMARY When using calamares to install KDE Neon, using custom partitioning crashes the installer. I've attempted to create all partitions beforehand, and simply use them in the installer as well - but this yields no different result. The crash report that opens when calamares crashes, requires you to install debug symbols. This, however, never completes. When attempted to install a second time, it crashes as well. Once Calamares has crashed once, it remains active in the background and requires a kill -9 in the terminal to be able to open the installer again. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Boot Neon live installation medium 2. Open Calamares, and navigate through until you reach the partitioning menu 3. Use "Manual Partitioning" 4. Select "New Partition Table" and use GPT 5. For the sake of this bug report, let's leave out making the system actually bootable; 6. Create a new partition, "lvm2 pv" and select "encrypt". Enter a passphrase 7. Create a "New Volume group" 8. Select "New Partition" and give your Volume Group a name. 9. Observe the crash On the new crash report window that opens, it is asked one install the debug symbols. However, this never succeeds and extra attempts make the application crash. I do believe this is another bug report on its own. OBSERVED RESULT The installer crashes. A background calamares process remains active, and requires a hard kill in order to be able to start the installer again. EXPECTED RESULT A new volume group is created, after which logical volumes can be added. [plasmashell] [Bug 412976] Screen Locking: Picture of the Day hardly usable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412976 --- Comment #2 from Jeffrey Bouter --- Hey Nate, Thanks for getting back to me :-) Configuring the wallpaper through right clicking on the desktop works just fine, which is why I was surprised the lock screen wasn't working properly. Indeed, when I configure the wallpaper to use Wallpaper of the Day (I've only tested this with unsplash), the lock screen remains black. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
