I can confirm with Gwenview 23.04.1 that SVGs are being rendered with no
anti-aliasing. Edges are very jagged. I have not really used Gwenview for
viewing SVGs for a while so can't say when this started or if it was doing it
for 22.04.1 as the OP reported.

[kio-extras] [Bug 428135] Dolphin sftp constantly sends authentication request when adjusting username

2020-11-03 Thread Adam Lyall
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=428135

Adam Lyall  changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO  |---

--- Comment #2 from Adam Lyall  ---
There is no dialogue involved. When I am adjusting the path it seems to
constantly send a request to the server for every character added and removed
from the URI. This is fine when only changing the path but not when adjusting
the user ID. My server provider (in this case Opalstack) informed me the server
received multiple failed login attempts in the form of:

```
[DATE] [SERVER] sshd[24486]: Invalid user myusernam from 123.123.123.321 port
40310
[DATE] [SERVER] sshd[24490]: Invalid user myuserna from 123.123.123.321 port
40312
[DATE] [SERVER] sshd[24494]: Invalid user myusern from 123.123.123.321 port
40314
[DATE] [SERVER] sshd[24498]: Invalid user myuser from 123.123.123.321 port
40316
[DATE] [SERVER] sshd[24503]: Invalid user myuse from 123.123.123.321 port 40318
```

That matches with me deleting `myusername` in the URI
`sftp://myusername@server:/path/dir` in Dolphin's address bar as I placed the
cursor after myusername and started hitting backspace.

[dolphin] [Bug 428135] New: Dolphin sftp constantly sends authentication request when adjusting username

2020-10-23 Thread Adam Lyall
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=428135

Bug ID: 428135
   Summary: Dolphin sftp constantly sends authentication request
when adjusting username
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 20.08.1
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: bars: location
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: magicm...@magicmyth.com
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

This seems in part a "feature" because Dolphin will lookup paths on the server
while typing in order to show them as options. However, if adjusting the
username (or any part not related to the path) Dolphin should not send a new
authentication request until the user hits enter otherwise every character
change causes a failed log in which some servers will rate limit the number of
failed logins within a given time frame. This has caused my machine to be
blocked for a while a few times as I switch to another user on servers.

Note this may require the use of SSH key to trigger the bug as I have not
tested via a server that allows password authentication.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter a sftp address in Dolphin's location bar. Eg.
sftp://myu...@server.tld:/the/folder and hit enter to login.
2. Now edit the existing URI by deleting the username (e.g myuser) one
character at a time and then enter another username (e.g. otheruser@).
3. Checking the server SSH authentication log will show a request for each
character change. E.g my...@server.tld, m...@server.tld, m...@server.tld ~
o...@server.tld, o...@server.tld, o...@server.tld ~ otheru...@server.tld

OBSERVED RESULT
Many login request are sent.

EXPECTED RESULT
Don't send a new request until the user presses enter when they are changing
the username or any part before the path component.

Spotted the problem with the Podcast download, when the .tmp file is renamed to
it's final name, there is a directory separator missing between the directory
and the final mp3 filename.

[amarok] [Bug 393080] Downloaded podcasts stored one level up in directory

2018-04-16 Thread Lyall
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393080

--- Comment #5 from Lyall <ly...@the-pearces.com> ---
Confirmed from Git master.
Any ebuild in Gentoo version tends to be from source repositories, not a
'release'.
Gentoo has virtually dropped qt4, hence the attempted move to qt5 version.

[amarok] [Bug 393080] Downloaded podcasts stored one level up in directory

2018-04-13 Thread Lyall
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393080

--- Comment #3 from Lyall <ly...@the-pearces.com> ---
Updated stack trace after rebuilding amarok and many supporting libraries with
debug enabled.
I have around 19 podcasts setup, I expand the podcast list by double clicking
the tiny triangle on the right.
I then right click, in this example, the first podcast
I then select 'configure' and release, core dumps.

Hopefully this helps :)

I don't have amarok built with Debug yet, hopefully this stack trace might help
whilst I figure out how to get a specific Gentoo ebuild to build with debug
(and it's supporting libraries, building may take a bit of time).

[amarok] [Bug 393080] New: Downloaded podcasts stored one level up in directory

2018-04-12 Thread Lyall
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393080

Bug ID: 393080
   Summary: Downloaded podcasts stored one level up in directory
   Product: amarok
   Version: 2.9.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Podcast
  Assignee: amarok-bugs-d...@kde.org
  Reporter: ly...@the-pearces.com
CC: bart.cerne...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: kf5

Created attachment 111992
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=111992=edit
Portage emerge --info output.

When starting the podcast download episode, the tmp file is located in the
podcast directory, but once the download is complete and the file renamed, it
moves 'up' one directory level.
Additionally, right click a podcast entry to 'configure' results in a core
dump, every time.
Gentoo system, Intel, 64 bit, happy to provide specific version info on
request.
Attached emerge info includes various library versions, env variables, etc,
which may be of use.

[neon] [Bug 383181] 'fix' dependencies to allow for updated mesa i386 drivers

--- Comment #4 from Adam Lyall <magicm...@magicmyth.com> ---
I can confirm this issue with installing 32bit. It can be worked around by
installing the ubuntu repo version 1.12.0-1~ubuntu16.04.1 for both the x86_64
and i386 versions.
```
apt install libwayland-client0=1.12.0-1~ubuntu16.04.1
libwayland-client0:i386=1.12.0-1~ubuntu16.04.1
```
should do the job. The issue seems to be with the packaging of
libwayland-client0:i386 as the one in the Neon repository refuses to install
next to the x86_64 version but the ones from other repositories is fine.

I'm also using Padoka pkppa ppa.

Note that 32bit Mesa is needed for the majority of proprietary games on Linux.
