[kmail2] [Bug 379303] Cannot send mail from a distribution list
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379303 --- Comment #4 from Mathieu MD <math...@ghack.net> --- > Describing all the steps would be helpful. I did this in #223034#c61: With KMail 5.2.3, the list can be created, but email cannot be sent. When clicking on "Send", I get this warning popup: "The email address you entered is not valid because it does not contain a '.'. You will not create valid messages if you do not change your address." The distribution list is not expanded, and therefore KMail thinks that the DL name is an actual email address. Example: 1. Create and populate a DL named "Family, Friends" (from KAddressBook) 2. Use the "Select..." button to add this DL in the "To:" field (from KMail) 3. Click on the "Send" button. The popup will warn you (the above message) about the email address "Family@mycomputername". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This failure seems to start several days/weeks after adding these remote calendars into KOrganizer. Removing calendars from KOrganizer, and then adding them again "fixes" the problem for a few days. But it start to fails again after some days. It's very annoying, because there is no way to visually know that newly created events are actually not sync'ed with the remote calendar. [digikam] [Bug 369334] New: When deleting folder, it should warn about non-image files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369334 Bug ID: 369334 Summary: When deleting folder, it should warn about non-image files Product: digikam Version: 5.1.0 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: AlbumsView Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org Reporter: math...@ghack.net If you have non-image files into a folder (.zip, .txt, etc.) DigiKam will not warn you when you will delete the folder. I agree DK is not expected to display these files, but still, I feel unsafe if it is able to delete a folder containing other files without at least warning me about them. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a folder under one of your collections 2. Open it with file explorer (Dolphin for me) 3. From the file explorer, create a text file 4. Back to DK, delete the folder Actual Results: DK ask the usual question about deleting the folder itself, but don't warn about the text file, and when confirmed actually remove the folder. Expected Results: DK should explicitly warn about the presence of this text file. Fortunately, the text file is actually moved into the trash, and so it can be retrieved. [kmail2] [Bug 367833] New: Message list is not refreshed when new emails have arrived
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367833 Bug ID: 367833 Summary: Message list is not refreshed when new emails have arrived Product: kmail2 Version: unspecified Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: message list Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: math...@ghack.net I'm not sure if it's the message list which is not refreshed, or if it's the automatic "check mail" which doesn't fully work ("Check mail interval" is set to 5 or 15 minutes for all my accounts), but anyway, the new emails received are not displayed into KMail until I manually click the "Check Mail" button, or I manually go into the Inbox folder corresponding (and still, this works only if I were into another folder). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go into Inbox folder of the account B; 2. Send an email from account B to account A; 3. Ensure you get the notification "E-Mail Successfully Sent"; 4. Wait a number of minutes higher than the number you configured into the auto check interval (5 minutes in my case, so I wait at least 6 minutes). Actual Results: Nothing happens: no notification of new message, no increase of the unread count between parenthesis. If I move from the Inbox folder of account B into Inbox folder of account A, then the new email is finally displayed. (By the way, because it is displayed instantly when I enter into the folder, I guess that the email have already been retrieved — it was waiting somewhere, hidden. So the bug is probably only a display/notification bug) Expected Results: Before the end of the delay of the configured "Check Mail interval", I should have got a notification of new email, and the unread count between parenthesis should have been increased. If I already were in the Inbox folder of the account A, then the new mail should have appear into the message list. This happens for all of my accounts, not just account "A". I don't know if it could be related, but the search does not work on my KMail: I press "S", the "Find Messages" popup is opened, but whatever search request I try, I get no results at all, just the "Search complete" message at the bottom-left. Product: digikam Version: 5.1.0 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: AlbumsView Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org Reporter: math...@ghack.net Most of my folders and sub-folders are OK, but one in particular (named "27" according to the 27th days of March) shows a count of 2 photos ("27 (2)") but actually doesn't display them when I click on it. Neighbor sub-folders are actually showing the count and display them when clicked without problem. It seems to be related to the JPEG files themselves, because when I put inside another JPEG file, this one get displayed (and the count is well increased by 1). Therefore, I attached one of these files, "IMG_20160327_112818.jpg". I didn't have this problem with previous Dikigam 4.x! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. My workflow is something like this: 1 - Import RAW photos from cameras into digiKam 2 - Apply tags and set title, description, etc. 3 - Remove rejected photos 4 - Rename photos 5 - Develop and retouch photos into Darktable (via "Open with..." in digiKam) In short, I use digiKam for its powerful catalog and search features, but I use Darktable for most editing needs.
