[kile] [Bug 299375] Improper handling of nested \input commands by the project tree view
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=299375 Moritz Augustin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||softw...@moritz-augustin.de --- Comment #2 from Moritz Augustin --- I can confirm this wrong behaviour in the current version, i.e., kile 2.1.3-7 as packaged in arch linux. Particularly I see the annoying Case 1 where kile shows non-root files (of the same project) that are included using \input{subfolder/file} incorrectly as root documents although they should be rather subfiles. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[systemsettings] [Bug 295633] custom shortcuts: send keyboard input does not work for keys requiring AltGr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295633 Moritz Augustin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||softw...@moritz-augustin.de --- Comment #3 from Moritz Augustin --- I can confirm this bug, too -- Plasma 5.12.6, Kubuntu 18.04.1 setting my usual window management hot keys is not possible due to this bug, unfortunately -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 343629] write cursor does not move when keys are pressed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343629 Moritz Augustin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||softw...@moritz-augustin.de --- Comment #23 from Moritz Augustin --- I can confirm the bug using arch linux packages qt5-base 5.5.1-8, kate 15.12.1-1: the control keys (e.g., move cursor left) of the Neo2 keyboard layout do not work in Kate. However, they do work in Konsole (package konsole-15.12.1-1) and of course also in non-QT software on the other hand. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 358202] New: kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358202 Bug ID: 358202 Summary: kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented) Product: kwin Version: 5.5.3 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: backend-x11 Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: softw...@moritz-augustin.de Created attachment 96727 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=96727&action=edit output of strace kwin_x11 --replace (at time of the problem and afterwards) I have just switched to Plasma 5 (using Arch Linux packages) and SDDM (from previously running KDE4). A severe problem for me is the following: a few times a day KWin stops working properly with errors "Function not implemented" visible in the strace output (see Screenshots). The effective problem for me as the user is that in such a situation (a) copy&paste of both text and files is broken, (b) moving windows by holding left-click on the window titles does not work anymore and (c) the menus in Firefox cannot be clicked on/nor opened with the keyboard combinations anymore. I cannot reproduce the problem by a particular action but observe it very often (too often in my production environment). I am using Arch Linux with relevant packages kwin 5.5.3-1 and nvidia 358.16-3, i.e., the proprietary NVIDIA driver for my GF119 GPU, also known as GeForce GT 610. The issue can be basically repaired by restarting kwin with the command kwin_x11 --replace. However, even afterwards (i) copy/paste seems to be broken at least from windows which existed before the kwin restart and (ii) the menus in Firefox cannot be opened and only restarting Firefox completely resolves the latter (which is not very comfortable when using multiple windows with lots of tabs etc.). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 358202] kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358202 --- Comment #2 from Moritz Augustin --- I do not think this is bug #353428. I have no drkonqi process open at all and kwin seems not to crash completely (e.g. I can still maximize/tile windows/move them to other virtual desktops using my hotkeys; or is this not kwin's reponsibility?). How can I provide more information? Do I understand you correctly that you think there is a segfault in some (non-kwin) process which propagates to kwin such that kwin itself gets confused and shows these "Function not implemented" signatures in the strace output? If you had more ideas what I could to I would be glad to follow those suggestions. Actually I am using clusterssh (arch package 4.04-1) but I observed the problem also without having open that program. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 340447] [Plasma 5] Please add an xembed compatible system tray applet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340447 Moritz Augustin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||softw...@moritz-augustin.de --- Comment #12 from Moritz Augustin --- Maybe interesting for other people: plasma-workspace >= 5.5 seems to contain a workaround which provides a program "xembedsniproxy" making (a not-so-beautiful but functional) version of xembed-based tray icons available in the plasma tray. (This is at least true for the arch linux packages.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 358202] kwin often stops partially working (Function not implemented)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358202 --- Comment #8 from Moritz Augustin --- Just to give you an update on this: it might be indeed true that clusterssh was responsible for the behaviour I have reported. At least the problem has not appeared again after closing clusterssh and restarting kwin _afterwards_. However, from my (user) perspective an application should not be able to induce a core component such as kwin to fail -- even (or especially?) when using very old code ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
