[Akonadi] [Bug 418727] akonadi_migration_agent "In progress" dialog never goes away
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418727 PK changed: What|Removed |Added CC||pieterkristen...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from PK --- I still have this. October 2024. At first glance I would ask: why isn't there the possibility to "never show again" or something like that, but still, that would be asking the wrong question. The right question would rather be: who at all would like to be notified about this? In what way is the fact that the akonadi_migration_agent completed it's task important to me??? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 492969] New: The width of the plasma panel can be changed gradually but the width of the icons in it can't
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=492969 Bug ID: 492969 Summary: The width of the plasma panel can be changed gradually but the width of the icons in it can't Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.1.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: pieterkristen...@gmail.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 I can change the width/height of the panel very gradually. But (in my experience) the width of the application icons in it only changes in two big steps and side effects of this behavior have to be compensated by the width of the margins/padding. I would like it very much if the icons went along with the scaling of the panel. The current behavior, to me, feels not so elegant. I saw bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434324 but it seems to me it isn't fixed. One of those thins is: (again!) Plasma Addons! Only on this occasion Plasma Addons, in the humble eyes of the Dutch translators, means "Plasma Widgets"... The containing folder, we translated long time ago as "Plasma Extra's". So in our translation there is the "folder" "Plasma Extra's" that contains the "folder" "Plasma Widgets". And not the "folder" "Plasma Addons" that contains the "folder" "Plasma Addons". https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477145 --- Comment #5 from PK --- I am using/playing with the "dodge windows" option that is now available. It "dodges" all windows. I am happy with this solution. I would like to be able to make it dodge for active windows only, but if that doesn't happen it is already very nice this way. I work with a 16:9 ratio screen, like many people. So vertical space is something I really not have in abundance. I like very much the ubuntu-dock - on the left side of the screen. I make something like that often in kde. It makes not so much difference to me if it is autohiding, not hiding at all or "dodging windows". Vertical space is not such an issue. But if I make a nice floating panel on the bottom of the panel I am very happy when it doesn't get in the way. And "Dodge windows" helps a lot! Personally I don't like autohiding panels. Apart from the fact that it works very smooth I have one remark... Perhaps it would be more practical and even elegant if the panel only "Dodged" for active windows. As it is now, once there is a full screen window, the panel will always behave as if it was auto-hiding in the old fashioned way. I illustrate this with an attachment. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. [plasmashell] [Bug 349785] Intelligent auto-hide mode ("Dodge Windows") that hides the panel only when windows are maximized or move over it
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349785 --- Comment #34 from PK --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #32) > Basically, when any windows touch the panel, it enters "Auto-Hide" mode > automatically. Question: isn't it so that the panel doesn't "intelligently hide" for a non-active window? If I'm not mistaking that was the behavior in Latte-Dock. I think when I was using e.g. firefox full screen there (panel hidden) and I opened another application that not took so much of the screen, the panel appeared over firefox. But when I closed this active application and firefox became the active application again, then the panel would immediately auto-hide again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 349785] Intelligent auto-hide mode ("Dodge Windows") that hides the panel only when windows are maximized or move over it
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349785 --- Comment #33 from PK --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #32) > Basically, when any windows touch the panel, it enters "Auto-Hide" mode > automatically. This is different from the current "Auto-Hide" mode in which > the panel is always hidden unless deliberately shown, or the current > "Windows Can Cover" mode where the panel simply becomes covered up, and > never actually hides. In that light "intelligent auto-hide" is also "intelligent not-hide" because the panel stays visible as long as it is not in the way. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Merkuro] [Bug 474094] Crash when adding a google calendar through merkuro
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474094 --- Comment #2 from PK --- On this page https://invent.kde.org/pim/merkuro/-/issues/227 there is a "walkthough" about how you can still create a google account in Merkuro calendar: cd into .config/akonadi nano or vim into file agent_config_akonadi_google_resource_X With Name entry do this: Name=youremailaddr...@gmail.com and save the file. restart calendar settings or better still akonadictl restart and then close terminal you should be good to go Only the leaps he makes are just a little too big. At last I found out the way to do it. I reproduced it and it works: start merkuro calendar from the menu choose Settings/create merkuro calendar now the account-setup main screen opens in the account-setup main screen choose to create google account now the google account sub-window opens perform what you have to do (in browser etc) and close browser now the google account sub-window looks quite all right - important - open Dolphin and browse to the file ~/.config/ agent_config_akonadi_google_resource_X put your gmail address behind "Name=" save the file and close it - important - now apply all in the google account sub-window and close it - important - but DO NOT CLOSE THE ACCOUNT-SETUP MAIN SCREEN (this will clear all you just did) keeping merkuro as it is, open the konsole and give command "akonadictl restart" now the google-stuf appears in the left side of the merkuro calendar application NOW it is really done. Btw, while figuring this out I had to clear the google calendar setting a few times in the account-setup main screen. This made my system freeze totally. Quite spectacular. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmail2] [Bug 461400] Kmail stays offline after wakeup from suspend to ram
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461400 --- Comment #51 from PK --- To elaborate on my comment 47 some more... On my systems when coming out of sleep, kmail says it is "offline" and it won't send email. Now when I give in the konsole: akonadictl start, then akonadi says: I am already running. But, when I give in the konsole the command: akonadictl restart, then, after a short time kmail works as it should. On my systems this is 100% reproducible. So that is why I though putting this command in a file in the folder /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep/ , as I also describe in comment 47, but for reasons I do not understand, this doesn't work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462572 --- Comment #15 from PK --- Now I'm surprised! I can't reproduce this bug anymore. The reason must be that I set the screen dimensions of my laptop to 1600x900 so that I wouldn't need to scale. I use Wayland. So this bug could very well be related to scaling... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

-- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

-- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[i18n] [Bug 468746] "schermafdruk - zig met opnem" in Spectacle 23.04
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468746 --- Comment #5 from PK --- (In reply to Freek de Kruijf from comment #1) > Is "Opnemen bezig" van gemaakt. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

-- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Spectacle] [Bug 468818] "Take New Screenshot/Screen Recording" labels are unnecessary when tab bar is visible
-- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

In het Engels staat daar: "Take a new screenshot". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
-- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
