This is the 'drill down' to the Education category

>From this drill down a variety of data points can be edited.

Shows annual summary of expenses - really nothing usual here

I have just converted from Quicken to KMM; this is a Quicken feature, and a
very handy one.

Upon entering a report, if you want to see the detailed transactions that make
up any number shown on the report you click the number and all transactions
become available. Via hyperlink, you can go back into the ledger at which time
you can make changes to the ledger.

This is particularly useful at year-end. For example, adjustments to 'category'
are not common.

[kmymoney] [Bug 387970] New: WISH: drill down backwards (via link) from a report to all transactions that support the report's number

2017-12-16 Thread Robin Gross
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387970

Bug ID: 387970
Summary: WISH: drill down backwards (via link) from a report to
all transactions that support the report's number
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Mint (Debian based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: reports
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ro...@fafagallery.info
  Target Milestone: ---

WISHLIST: to be able to drill down backwards (via link) from a report to all
the detailed transactions that make up the number shown on the report.

For example: in an exp/inc report, I have a number that is not supported by the
transactions - how do I go about understanding where the error is? [In other
words: the report shows income of $750 when the income transactions for that
month total $500].

And now, do I need to go through all other transactions to make sure the
numbers in the report are accurate? (Which I did do... yikes).

This is different from bug: 261849 (as I read it).
