[kdenlive] [Bug 352851] Make clips in timeline straight-edged instead of rounded corners?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352851 Steve changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ste...@humanint.com --- Comment #8 from Steve --- -1 It's not that I dislike the idea. But... 1) I don't think we should overload the devs. I would rather they use their free brain cells on bugs, crashes, and enhancements. We all know there is plenty on their plate already. As soon as they do this, someone else is going to conduct a poll telling the devs to reverse this 1960 style and make it friendly again. What are they to do? Who are they to believe. Ultimately it doesn't really matter which way it is. 2) In my own projects, I have so many clips and I zoom in and out so much that I don't have time to worry about them. So as you can see I do not have a horse in this race, except for the sanity of the devs. Nothing is more demoralizing to a dev than to get caught up in a losing battle with their users. Jesse I respect your contributions through all of this time. You have really helped, but please understand this is not a priority at the moment. When everyone is saying kdenlive is superior to final cut pro, then we can elevate the priority of this request. But remember, someone else is going to be just as adamant that curved corners are far superior to boxy corners. Is this really that important? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365156 --- Comment #4 from Steve --- Wegwerf Cool! That worked. Thanks for the link. I had to follow the note that read: Note: in case the timeline toolbar isn't correctly shown after updating Kdenlinve, you may need to move your existing kdenliveui.rc file out of the way. Don't delete it, just rename it to, say, kdenliveui.rc.old. On standard KF5 installations, this file should be found in $HOME/.local/share/kxmlgui5/kdenlive. Afterwards restart Kdenlive and you should now see the timeline toolbar. If everything works, you may finally delete the old kdenliveui.rc.old file. I'll close the bug but it isn't really INVALID. Technically you are right, but operationally I had to go out of process to resolve it. Others may find themselves in the same situation and as such find this post useful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 358800] New: Effect List not displaying or working with Affine effect
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358800 Bug ID: 358800 Summary: Effect List not displaying or working with Affine effect Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: grave Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: steveach...@gmail.com While working on a project, I was adding Affine effects to the timeline. It was going well, then I noticed the Effect Stack no longer showed the Affine user interface. Even the previous Affines that were properly working and saved no longer respond. I have restarted both the program and computer and have attempted to revert to a previous saved state, but do not see anything working. I have also tried adding new Affine transitions, but they still do not show the UI when highlighted. Thank you, I hope this can help others as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I open Kdenlive, loading my project witch is in progress. 2. Clicking on any Affine effect 3. There is nothing in the Effect List, also the check box cannot be checked Actual Results: I am unable to change the Affine effect. Expected Results: I should see the UI for the Affine effect in order to build my effect. All of my tracks are unlocked, I have reverted about six times with no change. I believe this to be Grave, as I am unable to proceed with my task. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
