[KDE Itinerary] [Bug 493324] New: Support 'sharing' a bahn journey to Itinerary

2024-09-18 Thread Thibault Molleman
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=493324

Bug ID: 493324
Summary: Support 'sharing' a bahn journey to Itinerary
Classification: Applications
   Product: KDE Itinerary
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: vkra...@kde.org
  Reporter: kde.lw...@thibaultmol.link
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If you are using the DB app or the website and you press the button copy/share
your journey. it will put a text in your clipboard that contains a text version
of your trip and then the url at the end. Currently itinerary doesn't know what
to do with this. It should be able to extract the db url from that clipboard
though i think.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to any specific bahn website trip, for ex
https://int.bahn.de/en/buchung/start?vbid=b7cd99bd-ebc7-4cce-9f0f-2cc58efea65b
2. Then click the triple dot menu on the trip, and then 'share journey' and
then 'copy info'
3. that's the clipboard that contains the url;

1. If you are in the DB app you can open the share menu for that same trip text
and choose an app to open it with.

It would be nice if you could choose Itinerary there.

[kdenlive] [Bug 492562] New: Adding multiple clips at once with video/Audio that don't have existing profiles, causes multiple popups

Bug ID: 492562
Summary: Adding multiple clips at once with video/Audio that
don't have existing profiles, causes multiple popups
Classification: Applications

SUMMARY
If you have a folder with multiple clips you want to add to your project, and
multiple of those clips have audio/video profiles that don't exist yet. And you
add the entire folder as a folder to your kdenlive project. you'll get popups
asking if you want to create a profile for each of the files. Even though all
the files in question have the exact same audio/video profile.
If you say yes on each of those popups, it will create that many profiles (all
duplicates of course)

EXPECTED RESULT
It should only ask it once and add one profile. (it should notice the other
files have the same profile)

SUMMARY
I searched and didn't find this FR yet: if you're in kde plasma and right click
a folder you can 'open folder with' meaning that all the files get opened by
whatever program you select. Kate, Gwenview and other kde apps support this but
Lisa doesn't. The idea would be that if you have folder full of audio files,
you can just have the entire folder be opened by Lisa and it would open all the
audio files in that folder as the playlist when Lisa starts.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a folder with multiple audio files in it
2. Right click the folder and choose 'open folder with'
3. Lisa should be an option there

If you search for "Aalter" in Belgium, the first result you get is indeed
Aalter, but 'Aalten' which is a location in NL still shows up pretty high up in
this list.

My main problem is that if you search for 'Aalter station', you actually get
'Aalten station' instead of 'Aalter'(the station)

I really like using the DB website to plan my train trips.
it would be nice if we could click the triple dot menu for a trip, share
journey. and then press that button that copies to clipboard.
Being able to paste that into itinerary and have the entire train trip
importer.

example:

Was about to make a bug about this, bug figured someone else already did. This
honestly kind of annoying. Def because in 2023 we have bigger and sometimes
even ultrawide monitors. So this is kind of an arbitrary limitation.

why doesn't it just scale with how much screen size there is? ... like Dolphin
does for example. it'd be weird if Dolphin had a strict amount of columns. So I
don't see why Okular has this so strict.

https://imgur.com/crnWwxG
I have a 2560x1440 monitor and this is the default 3 columns

[dolphin] [Bug 453967] New: "Duplicate here" doesn't show progress

2022-05-17 Thread Thibault Molleman
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453967

Bug ID: 453967
Summary: "Duplicate here" doesn't show progress
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: kde.lw...@thibaultmol.link
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug
symbols.
See
https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. right click a large folder
2. select 'duplicate here'

OBSERVED RESULT
it's duplicating the folder in the background

EXPECTED RESULT
I would have expected this to show up in the same window/area when you do an
actual file transfer, so you can see it's progress and such. Right now, its'
duplicating in the background, but I can't actually see how far it is with it's
duplication process. The only thing I can do is right click the folder and go
to properties and inspect the size... But in no way can I see what it's
progress is, or when it's done.info

See
https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a folder with multiple files (jpg's, pdf's also have the same issue,
doesn't matter)
2. click on the filename (which make the filename editable)
3. press the TAB key (which makes the next file in the list editable

OBSERVED RESULT
the preview is still the original file you selected

EXPECTED RESULT
the preview should change as you change from file to file when using the TAB
key.
(for example in my usecase, I was renaming files based on the content of their
first page, so going trough each file one by one using the preview would have
been very convenient if it worked)

(NOTE: I am aware i'm running outdated software, there was a problem with
upgrading that I haven't bothered fixing yet. But I believe this issue also
still exists in the latest version of Dolphin

It seems like it's not solved yet?
Maybe it's triggered if the image sequence gets trimmed in the timeline?
See this screenshare: https://streamable.com/6gsw90
As you can see the end of the image sequence on my timeline you see the robot
has been build. But if I change the speed by 200%, you can see that at the end
that the robot isn't build up yet even. So a lot of the footage is gone after
the speed up.
Should I make a new bug report or should we reopen this one?

This is how windows does it yeah, and honestly it makes a lot of sense.
For example my favourite image viewer is Gwenview.. but I installed Ultimaker
Cura and somehow it thought that it was more appropriate for viewing regular
jpg imags than an image viewer... So If I could just choose 'gwenview' and
select 'set default for all file associations of this program" or something.

We can collectively hate Windows, but this feature in their interface is such a
time saver.

[partitionmanager] [Bug 433302] New: crash when attempting to remove mount on unfinished disk

2021-02-20 Thread Thibault Molleman
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433302

Bug ID: 433302
Summary: crash when attempting to remove mount on unfinished
disk
   Product: partitionmanager
   Version: 20.12.2
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: andr...@stikonas.eu
  Reporter: thibaultmolle...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I stumbled upon this when I was modifying a disk's partitions. When you create
a new partition, assign it a mount point. But then don't actually click
'apply', next time you try to change that mount point, it crashes

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
(disclaimer: it might be that these steps don't need to be as exact, I'm just
describing my exact scenario)
1. Take a disk with an existing partition.
2. Shrink that partition. (ntfs in my case)
3. Create a new partition in that freed up space (xfs in my case)
4. Right click the new partition and set a mount point (/Steam850EVO2TB for me,
and enable 'users can mount or unmount')
5. (might have exited and reopened kde part manager here, not sure)
6. right click that partition again and remove the mount point using the
'remove' button.

OBSERVED RESULT
Terminal output:

EXPECTED RESULT
Couldn't figure out how to verbose kde part manager, all it says in terminal is
zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped) partitionmanager
The program just crashes the moment I click that delete button in the mount
options

macOS features "Stacks," a beautiful and automatic way to organize / group a
messy desktop by type of file, date modified, file tags, etc. It would be
brilliant to have this functionality! I've attached a GIF of it in action, and

In the Autostart section in the System Settings, You can't select multiple
entries to then apply "autostart only in plasma" from the Advanced button.
You need to go trough every single autostart entry and change the checkbox.

There is no way right now to have the pager show the virtual desktops
horizontally (only one row vertically)

How it currently looks: https://imgur.com/kv2omES

What I would want this feature to make possible: https://imgur.com/5P6VnvY

I imagine this would be a toggle in the Pager settings

[Spectacle] [Bug 421643] half second delay

2020-06-11 Thread Thibault Molleman
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421643

Already tried that. Doesn't work either
BUT
What I noticed that if I type:
0,5
it just goes to no delay. while if i type:
,5
it shows 0,5 in the field and it does work actually.

So it seems to be that if you try and put in that first 0 it goes to 'no
delay' and ignores any further input.
Which isn't very intuitive, it should allow for entering
0,5
and have it work

Cheers,

I'm also coming from windows and using notepad++. Their behaviour is brilliant.
If all my windows 'resume' after a reboot on linux. I expect a text editor to
also just 'resume' in the exact same state. With all files including unsaved
text to be open
