Hello,

so instead of clicking you drag, am I right?

Did you checked the mouse settings, and tried to increase the drag start time?
Probably you can adjust this value, so you won't accidentally drag anymore
(System Settings -> Input Devices -> Mouse -> Advanced).

Did you encounter this problem someplace else, like Dolphin for example -
moving files instead of opening them, or something similar?

Hello,

the bug is reproducible, but wondering because such scaling issues should have
been resolved upstream in the Qt library itself, please see:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391694
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-67007

Checked also to set the scaling to the next integer, 2 to see if it matched the
bug before. It does, there is no trouble as soon as the scaling is an integer.
But when it's a fraction the rendering is broken. But due to that additional
the layout breaks I think it is not a duplicate, I'll link the issue 391694. Or
what do you think, is this a duplicate?

The commit #ac602f is not yet in master, can you please checkout the 5.0

Thanks for the additional information.

For me it looks more like an issue with the colors and themes, than something
"fix-able" in kdevelop itself. Are you able to set the colors in such a way
that you can read the current highlighted search result?

Thanks for clarifying in which version this bug was fixed - with version 1.4.1
it looks more promising for backporting :)

Hello,

this problem with umask is already fixed, please see the issue at phabricator:
https://phabricator.kde.org/D12049 - with a very literal title ;)

It was merged at April 23rd and should be available with Okular 1.5 (though its
not mentioned in the release log:
https://www.kde.org/announcements/fulllog_applications.php?version=18.08.0#okular,
so I checked out the latest commit from master and I can not reproduce. The
file permissions are set according to the umask.).

Hello,

what desktop theme and color schema are you using?

The colors of the results are defined by your KDE theme & color scheme, imho
not inside Kdevelop. Can you please check the color scheme, especially those of
the selection background and selection text? Did you encounter these trouble in
any other KDE application?

Hello,

tested this report and I can confirm and reproduce it.

But this looks very related to 389448 (and also 392960 - marked already as
duplicate), but none of these mention a white line due to broken scaling.

Nevertheless I think this is a duplicate, what do you think?

Do you use KDE or only yakuake and some other desktop environment? I guess when
you use Kubuntu you use KDE - did you set your panel to auto hide? When you set
that can you always display it and recheck?

Hello,

is the current profile you mentioned the default profile? Are there other
profiles? Can you create a new profile and test if the settings are saved and
survive a reboot?

Talking about reboot - did you installed the edition?

I tried to reproduce this bug, but actually the only way I could reproduce it
was when I used the edition image in a virtual machine not having installed it
- I do not think any changes will survive in that way (:

Hello,

I tried to reproduce the bug you reported, but I can not close the window of
KRename by pressing Esc when in front the "Find and Replace" window is open.

The only window I am able to close is Dolphin itself, you didn't mean that
window, did you? :)

Can you provide any other information which could help us to reproduce this
bug?

Tested Versions:
krename 5.0.60 (built from most recent commit #9a24890 like you did)
dolphin 18.08.1
