Also, if I try to pkcon refresh && update, the app freezes and stays "running" without doing anything. This is reason for me to reopen the bug report. Maybe there's something wrong with my own system... I will try now to use apt and see if there are more warnings. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473426 --- Comment #16 from Valter Mura --- After some searches, the issue is supposed (*only supposed*) to come from the packages "libkwinglutils14" and "libkwineffect14", that are responsible of: "KWin (pronounced as one syllable "kwin") is the window manager for the KDE Plasma Desktop. It gives you complete control over your windows, making sure they're not in the way but aid you in your task. It paints the window decoration, the bar on top of every window with (configurable) buttons like close, maximize and minimize. It also handles placing of windows and switching between them." I can see that there are available "libkwinglutils13" and "libkwineffect13" as dummy packages in the repositories, but I won't even try to install them next to 14 series. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. An e-mail notification pops up 2. Click on it 3. Kmail opens (or takes focus if already open) and shows the related e-mail linked to the notification. OBSERVED RESULT Now, AFAIK, it's not possible to do this action. EXPECTED RESULT I would like to have this action, e.g. like same behavior in Thunderbird. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Akonadi] [Bug 429344] All Mail Accounts (on KMail) crashed after latest updates
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429344 --- Comment #7 from Valter Mura --- (In reply to Max Schwarz from comment #5) > I think I have the same problem, akonadi_imap_resource keeps crashing with > "stack smashing detected". My backtrace looks very similar, I'll try to > attach it. Why do you suspect MySQL? Hi, really this is only a supposition. I read somewhere that Akonadi crashed after a MySql version update. BTW, my IMAP accounts continue to crash... I can provide all crashes reports, if needed. Perhaps, it could be only a problem of my system, I don't know, but I cannot figure out how to solve it or if I need some package more installed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Thank you Tom, I run the command indicated, with a little change for me and the package has been installed and the desktop working again. This is the command I ran: sudo dpkg -i qml-module-org-kde-qqc2desktopstyle_5.62.0-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb After that, I launched: kstart5 plasmashell and the desktop reappeared. I don't know if everything is ok, presently I haven't rebooted yet. For sure I'll wait the closing of this bug before launching updates from pkcon or Discover. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
