Bug ID: 464268
Summary: The color contrast of a selected object's name and
properties is hard to read.
Classification: Applications
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 22.12.1
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: frighteny...@gmail.com
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 155278
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=155278=edit
screenshot of a selected object

When an object is selected, the white text of its name and properties on light
blue background looks pretty harsh to the eyes, while it is definitely
readable, it's still unpleasant and you have to focus your eyes harder. My
suggestion would be to keep the text color black as if the object was never
selected and stayed in normal state, just keeping the light blue background as
a hint for selection while also removing the irritating, old-fashioned, Windows
XP-era, dotted highlight box around the object's name.

Older versions of 21 compared to the latest 22.12.11 work as expected. If the
"When opening an executable file:" option from "General" under "Confirmations"
tab is set to "Always ask" dolphin shows a pop-up window with options to either
approve or cancel the execution of executables, however version 22 misbehaves
and ignores that option.

Got it, thank you very much.
I just thought that dolphin without video thumbnails was like sort of a car
without windscreen wipers haha

I use the Dolphin file manager on Windows, and it lacks the plugin which
generates thumbnails for video files, please add this crucial feature! Thank
you very much in advance.
