We believe this is fixed in a later version of Plasma5 and the recently
released Plasma6.  Can you retest this and report back?

khelpcenter is not the right product, I'm re-assigning the bug to plasma-nm.
That said, the bugs lacks some details: where is the "add" button missing
exactly?
The configuration panel which includes the option to add a network can be
accessed in various ways:
- right click on the system tray applet, Configure... option;
- in the window dialog that pop ups with a left click on the system tray applet
click on the button on the top-right corner;
- through System Settings.

I know how frustrating it can be when as a user, things just don't work. I've
been there. "How can they ship this crap!?" you find yourself wondering. But I
just always try to remember: you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

Kubuntu 17.04 is really, really good, and you don't have to take it from me:

Also, 17.10 is coming out in 3 days.

I'm with you, I also burned out on the rolling release distros. However one
downside of the slow-n-stable model is that often "stable" is a synonym for
"has really old bugs that have already been fixed". On the other hand, bleeding
edge means you're the QA team (e.g.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385594). Pick yer poison! ;) I'm guessing
you'll only upgrade when Kubuntu 18.04 (LTS) comes out with Plasma 5.12., and
by then you should reap the benefit of a LOT of bug fixes and polishing.

Find : dosen't work. Yes, I tried installing baloo, reinstalling baloo. That is
far as the instructions got. Why does Konqueror find work out of the box? yes,
*.epub returns the correct amount of files (matches CLI)

- Dolphin version

- Is Baloo active?
- If so, does `baloosearch *.epub | wc -l` show about 225 results?

digiKam 4.12 is a very old version of digiKam (3 year ago). We are now in 5.4.0
with more than 400 bugs fixes since 4.X release.

If your Linux disto do not provide a most recent version, use AppImage linux
bundle that we provide. See download page from digikam.org.

imagine that, a fresh install WITH updates gives me this.root@T3400:~# apt-get
install discover
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
discover is already the newest version (2.1.2-7ubuntu1).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

So 16.4.1 is not a current versionbut an old broken one that needs to be
updated.very nice
