[krita] [Bug 479420] accidental delete of unsave file tried to recover from %temp% but all the auto save temp file didnt even saved as .kra and cannot be opened using krita steam
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=479420 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ghe...@gmail.com Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #1 from vanyossi --- If you chose to close krita without saving the file, the recovery "backup" in %TEMP% is deleted, quoting from the docs: "If Krita doesn’t crash, and you close Krita without saving your work, Krita will remove the AutoSave file: your work will be gone and cannot be retrieved." Remember that any file in TEMP is only for recovery purposes, and if the file has never been saved (file->save and given a name and location), autosave will only keep a copy on the untitled file inside TEMP. The files in your screenshot are SWAP files used by different parts of krita and are not in anyway related to any file in particular. [krita] [Bug 479537] Duplicate files makes my krita crash
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=479537 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED CC||ghe...@gmail.com Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG --- Comment #3 from vanyossi --- This is not a bug in krita but a confusion between recover files dialog and recent files. You need to read the documentation: everytime krita reopens from a session that force close it loads all autosaves to help you recover any work you were doing. Please read regarding that feature here: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/autosave.html#autosave-for-unsaved-files This is intentional and will keep happening as you are confusing the recovery autosaved files dialog (https://docs.krita.org/en/_images/autosave_unnamed_restore.png) from recent files area (https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/welcome_screen.html) The first one popups after krita is forced to close (crash or by force closing it) and the document was not saved since the last autosave. >From what I can tell you are not saving your files at all but using the recovery file system as your recent files. Please recover only the last version of those 2 files and discard the older autosaves. Then use the file menu to save your files, avoid force closing krita (maybe force closing is how it works on chromeOS??). We might need to rethink how autosave works on untitled files on phone/tablet OS as the normal behavior on phone/tablet apps is to always keep the document saved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 475420] File with an extension in the name ignored when saving
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475420 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WORKSFORME |NOT A BUG --- Comment #7 from vanyossi --- The workaround is not available on sandboxed krita which makes me add this note: This is the way macOS finder works, so there is nothing i'm aware atm taht we can do except set the default format to "all" to allow the user to set a file format using the extension. However for saving krita defaults to .kra since we assume most people want to preserve all the file data to keep working on the file later. I'm not sure if Qt native dialog options allows to hide the combobox options and work as pages does. [krita] [Bug 475448] New: data loss when copy pasting into active layer in subwindow mode.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475448 Bug ID: 475448 Summary: data loss when copy pasting into active layer in subwindow mode. Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Tools/Transform Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ghe...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- The bug causes data loss only in subwindow mode with both subwindows visible. Tabbed mode or subwindows both in full screen and using the menu to switch documents does not trigger apparently any issue. Tested on 5.1.5, and master (21c93450d8) To reproduce: make 2 images A and B (A is source with paint info, B will be empty here) Select from image A Edit-> Paste into active layer: to B (!this is important as paste into active layer activates transform) Ctrl + Z <- undo should make the transform go away, but it doesn't until the second a undo is perform Ctrl + Z <- transforms dissapears Go back image A, Copy Activate image B Depending on windows some minor differences happen Tabs: A legend "cannot transform empty region" (this assumes initial condition of empty image B) Subwindows: A ghost transform decoration (in the video) appears, the image A tile data is deleted, this is permanent if transform is done in any way to this ghost outline, if enter is pressed the data reapppers in image A. If the transform mask is modified in this state then returning to image A and deleting the selection and then selecting image B subwindow destroys the entire paint data of image A. It seems there is something missing from the startup code that "bakes" the visibility status the dockers and other GUI elements were if the application is closed abnormally. Recovering from this state requires either selecting another workspace (after activating the toolbar options visibility) or resetting the user settings. If 5.1.5 is opened after the "crashing" 5.2, the dockers are recovered without issue, however if 5.2 is opened "baking" the visibility state then opening 5.1.5 will present the issue as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 398689] Image disappears when zooming in after scale transform
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398689 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REOPENED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #27 from vanyossi --- The canvas is not correctly updated when texture buffer is active. This happens at least from this version up to 5.2.0 beta and master. The issue before going with 16 buffers was a completely transparent (with small images) or semi transparent images after a canvas operation and pan/move/paint with bigger ones as shown in bug 398689. With the current code an the 16 buffers only some of them fail to update sometimes, leaving. a portion of the image without redraw and showing the checkerboard as shown by bugs 459458, 452655 and 473806. If the image is small enough it can make the entire canvas become transparent. My current testings are using M! with master (e0fa60d68f) and 5.2.0beta This is a display error, no data is lost and hiding/showing the a layer makes the image redraw. I'll close all duplicates and use this bug as is the first one to mention a problem with texture buffer with macOS (Nvidia and M1-2). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

As for the second comment about your missing Size properties, please go to https://krita-artists.org/ a community with like-minded people that can help you resolve all your doubts. There is no code in Krita to make the tool options disappear for some users, so the issue is most likely a very old Krita, or a user miss-understanding of the application interface/options, or something else. Disabling Texture Buffer will make all tiles to be loaded, The tiles are correctly loaded in debug mode as the canvas takes more time to load each tile, so this bug was difficult to catch. For reference I'm on a M1 mac mini as well. About having the complete image disapear and loose data upon saving, that is a completely different bug and would need to be checked. [krita] [Bug 414352] Line width changes when resizing multiple vector shapes at once
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414352 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ghe...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from vanyossi --- It looks this bug is intentional from the log of commit b128126189b5b8f86902ec23311a9efb14f5c230 quoting the entire log text: -- commit b128126189b5b8f86902ec23311a9efb14f5c230 Author: Dmitry Kazakov , Fri Dec 30 12:51:37 2016 +0300 (6 years ago) Committer: Dmitry Kazakov , Fri Dec 30 12:51:37 2016 +0300 (6 years ago) Uniform Scaling mode means that your shape is not just "resized", but "transformed" using a uniform transformation. When you "resize" (uniform scaling disabled) a shape, you basically change its local width and height (even when the shape is rotated using some embedded transformation). Resizing can never shear or deform your shape, that is a resized rectangle will always stay rectangular. When you "uniform scale" a shape, you don't "resize" it, you apply a transformation to it. That is all the small elements of the shape like stroke, pattern and gradient will also become scaled. And if you apply a uniform scale transform in global mode to a rotated shape, then the shape will be scaled uniformly, and rectangle will become sheared. NOTE1: Non-uniform scaling mode is available only when *one* shape is selected. "Resizing" multiple shapes in a non-uniform way is just not possible. Therefore the checkbox becomes automatically disabled when you select multiple shapes. NOTE2: Groups do not support non-uniform "resizing" (see NOTE1). Technically, resizing of a group is just applying a common transformation on the top of the child shapes. Therefore, all the properties of the uniform scaling apply to this process. --- -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
