Every 4 or 5 mails one has to yell some akondactl restart at a shell. If you bugfix is to install other servers - this is unacceptable. No external service like courier-imap should produce so massive problems by working with Kontact (Suite). After some minutes akonadi stop to work and makes kontact including calendar/todos unusable and need to be restarted like killall -9 kontact; akonadictl stop; akonadictl start. I have solved this by using offlineimap until I get our BOFH to switch servers. I then run a local instance of dovecot, which is rather easy to install. every time and i have this probleme more or less progressive about one year.
Currently I think to drop kontact from my system and migrate to
thunderbirth
Kontact is Unusable, this issue is so important and kde-team don't take care to
fix it.
