Bug ID: 454013 Summary: Delighted with enhancements in latest version! Product: Spectacle Version: 20.12.3 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com Reporter: he...@yourmessagedelivered.com CC: k...@david-redondo.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** I just upgraded to Debian v9, Stretch to Debian v11, Bullseye. This is a quick note to express how delighted I am with the new features available with spectacle! I find particularly useful the fact that a subsequent screenshot in the same session now remembers the boundaries of the 'Rectangular Region' which was the subject of the previous screenshot. This makes it so much easier to capture pages from a slide deck during a presentation! Also useful is the new UI showing me the name and a button to 'Open Containing Floder' for the most recently saved screenshot. So far, the only feature I had grown accustomed to in the legacy version which seems to be missing in the new version is the ability to navigate with the keyboard and to select an image name to use as template I can conveniently edit and use to save a new screenshot. This requires that I have to interact with the mouse to complete this task. But that is a very small price to pay for not having to use the mouse to draw the region boundaries for every screenshot. Excellent work, folks! Thank you for these enhancements! -- Hugh Esco Roswell Georgia STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3.
