Bug ID: 472691 Summary: Welcome center buttons don’t look and feel like buttons Classification: Applications Product: Welcome Center Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: k...@huftis.org CC: n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY On page 3 (‘Powerful when needed’) of the welcome center, there are six clickable ‘buttons’. However, there’s almost no indication that they’re actually clickable. They don’t really look like buttons, and when you hover the cursor over them, there’s only a faint change in outline colour. See the attached video. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open welcome center. 2. Go to page three. 3. However over the six rectangles. OBSERVED RESULT Only the outline slightly changes colour. EXPECTED RESULT There are several ways to indicate that they‘re clickable: – They could have a different background colour (ligher or darker) – The background colour can change when you hover over them – They could have a more 3D look – They could pop up slightly when you hover them – The mouse cursor could change to a ‘hand’ cursor when you hover them (this happens when I hover a button in my browser, but not when I hover a button in the Plasma UI) – The text above the buttons can say they’re clickable (‘Click on an example below to learn more […]’) – There could be a tooltip when you hover the buttons SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20230724 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.4.4-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: offscreen ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I’m using Breeze with the default colour scheme. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
