So, in Dolphin when dragging a .SRT file from a zipped archive to VLC, I get
"Subtitle track added" but it doesn't actually add it to the player. When
dragging from Ark I get no such thing.

Yeah, I could've sworn this worked back when I used GNOME and File Roller. But
I just tried it and no it doesn't. Oh wells, thanks for replying. Have a lovely

Dolphin has specific code that enables the integration with Ark (and btw it
should work even if you have the "open archives as folder" option set).

VLC would need something similar, unless they expose some kind of dbus
interface that we could use from Ark.
