Can I use the previous copy of digikam4.db instead of creating a new database? Can I just reclaim digikam4.db or must I reclaim all 4 files? How much data will I lose by creating a new database? Check your drive for errors. Delete the database or rename them to start with a new database. Create a DebugView log with active debug environment variable as described here for Windows: https://www.digikam.org/contribute/ Also keep in mind that digiKam-7.4.0 is a development version for which there have been no updates for 2 months due to problems with the build computer.
