Actually, most applications I tested don't work well when interacting with it. For some reason though CIFS mounts don't seem to hang the entire system in the same way when mounted. It only happen when actually trying to click on a folder, and then it is only dolphin that hangs. So I guess it is better. Not using nfs anymore. It also happen BTW with a cifs mounted drive.
