It already does work this way, but the settings are stored for each root node
folder. So for example if you activate details view for ~/, it will save the
settings for ~/, even if you then use details move to display (but not navigate
to) ~/Music/. If you then open a new Dolphin window rooted at ~/Music/, it
won't have those same settings.
I would recommend first setting a global default, and then navigating to
individual folders and saving the settings there.
