Bug ID: 434029 Summary: File access to smb share by backup program causes Dolphin to hang Product: frameworks-kio Version: 5.79.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kio-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: k...@paulmcauley.com CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- I have configured my backups to a SMB network share using Deja-Dup/Duplicity. The SMB location was mapped as a Network Folder through Dolphin. Deja-Dup backs up to a SMB directory with hundreds of files. The problem is that when a backup is being performed to the network I cannot use Dolphin. It does not open initially and will hang for many seconds before opening. When open, Dolphin becomes unresponsive.
