KAlarm for KDE 4 is now unsupported, so closing this bug. If you see the same

Reviewing old bugs - it looks as if the file permissions which you reported are
actually for the kalarm executable, not for the files in directory
~/.kde/share/apps/kalarm. It would also be useful if you could list the first 5
lines of the file ~/.kde/share/apps/kalarm/calendar.ics.
