I am using an Nvidia Titian with x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-375.26-r1
Downgrading to 16.12.0 fixes it.
Gentoo system.

The fix appears to be in portage. Will be testing it later.

Thanks for pointing out this, you're right, i just tested and can confirm the
appimage version of kdenlive doesn't crash.

Running into the same problem here using kdenlive 16.12.1 on KDE neon with a
GeForce GTX 970. System details below.

I find that the crash doesn't occur using the kdenlive 16.12.1 appimage.
Perhaps the newer MLT version included in the appimage is the difference (6.5.0
vs. 6.0.0)?

Created attachment 103549

It was generated by the reporting tool.

Hi, i have the same problem. The crash started happening when i changed my
Nvidia GT 630 with an Nvidia GTX 1050. I can confirm this doesn't happen on my
laptop with intel graphics. Also i uninstalled the nvidia proprietary driver
and the system started using llvmpipe (software rendering), the problem doesn't
happen with this driver, i was not able to test nouveau though. Then i
installed the Nvidia driver again and the problem comes back, so i'm pretty
sure the problem is related to the proprietary drivers.

The version of the driver is 375.26 and i'm using KDE Neon user edition, the
driver comes from this ppa:
https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

I apologize in advance for my bad English and because i'm not completely sure
if this is the correct way to report a bug.

Can you confirm you have an Nvidia graphic card?
