On the machine with the crash:

- Which OpenGL backend do you have (settings -> OpenGL backend)?
- Do you have set the playback resolution other then 1:1 (Monitor, bottom
left)?
- Test: Set the playback to Wasapi/DirectSound/WinMM: which works best?
- Any different in Audio from the machine who crashes to the other machine?
- Is the audio driver up-to-date?

No luck with driver 461.40 and clean kdenlive installation; still crashes on
this machine after this unique sequence of actions.

It's a Nvidia GPU. Should've mentioned the hardware configuration:
Machine A: Nvidia GTX 1060, driver 452.06, 3840x2160 screen, crash
Machine B: Nvidia GTS 450, driver 385.41, 1680x1050 screen, OK
Machine C: Intel Cherry Trail iGPU, driver 20.19.15.5144, 1920x1200 screen, OK

I'll try to update the drivers and report back.

Please update your graphic card driver on the Win10 machine where the crash
happens. I assume it’s an Intel graphic card.

Tested this sequence of actions on a Windows 10 machine with gen7.5 Intel iGPU,
no crash. Well, I suppose something might be wrong with my machine/installation
then.

OpenGL backed is: DirectX (AGNLE)
Playback settings:
- Use GPU processing: off
- Audio backend: SDL
- Audio driver: automatic
- Audio device: default
- Preview volume: 100%
- Use external display: off
- Output device: empty

I also tried the same steps on a Windows 7 machine and indeed, no crash. I'll
try with a different Windows 10 machine and report back.

Doing the same steps as you show on the video but on Windows 7. No crash.

Please let me know which settings you have under:
- Settings -> OpenGL backend.
- Settings -> configuration Kdenlive -> playback.
