As I said, as far I know no permission is needed to receive content, and some
services are now using WebRTC for streaming, probably under a delusion that it
works as form of DRM.

WebRTC doesn't share anything from you unless you have given it permission, but
as far as understand it may be used to stream content to your browser without
asking for permission just like video tags does.
