I maintained a page with the PPA : http://www.davidrevoy.com/article171/the-krita-lime-ppa-for-ubuntu-linux-mint-and-elementary-os and I even use this packages on my laptop and the quality is great. It was also really smooth and easy to install. I wish it will be the same for the next 'LTS' platform of 'buntu/Elementary/Mint ( avril 2016 ) because it's a real improvement. Really user friendly for this type of distributions. A big improvement over the previous kubuntu/backport, or neon PPA. I confirm also the Menu Icons is here and 'open with' menu ( on file browser ) works out of the box.
