More apologies on my part for not replying back; forgot I even opened this bug
report.

This bug was occurring on Ubuntu 14.04's default desktop environment, Unity, on
an AMD A10-7800 APU. However, I since switched over to KDE on that same OS, and
recently, I performed a clean upgrade of Kubuntu 18.04. (Currently enjoying
Krita 4.1.3! Thanks for all your hard work, everyone!)

Now, the bug not only no longer affects me, I could not test any attempts to
fix it. No one should still be using Ubuntu 14.04, anyway, I only got away with
it for as long as I did thanks to app images.

>From what I understand, this bug does not affect newer versions of Unity, and
has never happened on KDE, for me, so at this point, I consider this bug report
irrelevant.

You can safely mark this old bug report as NOT A BUG or RESOLVED. Have a nice
