[krita] [Bug 389151] Crash when opening or creating document
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389151 Boudewijn Rempt changed: What|Removed |Added CC||b...@valdyas.org --- Comment #2 from Boudewijn Rempt --- Hi Ollie, If you'd try to run a 64 bit application on a 32 bit system, then it wouldn't even start, so that's not probable. I haven't any 32 bits systems left to test with, and my Windows 7 system is broken, too... The crash file is pretty weird: it seems to crash in opengl-related code when loading the icon for a tool, but that is very unlikely to be the case, especially if disabling canvas acceleration doesn't make a difference. Could you retry after resetting Krita's configuration? See https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Resetting_Krita_configuration -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 389151] Crash when opening or creating document
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389151 --- Comment #3 from ollie.pe...@outlook.com --- Hi Boudewijn, I've tried renaming the file and have the same problem again. Doesn't seem to make any difference. I've tried to put on the Portable Apps forum too - but their account setup has a Google Captcha and I'm in China:( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 389151] Crash when opening or creating document
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389151 --- Comment #6 from ollie.pe...@outlook.com --- It's installed from here https://portableapps.com/ - runs without needing to install to the computer. They are packaged as .paf files. I could have a shot at running the beta version through the creator - which version do you recommend? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 389151] Crash when opening or creating document
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389151 --- Comment #7 from Boudewijn Rempt --- We definitely don't support any repackaged version of Krita. We already supply Krita in a zip archive that you can unpack anywhere. That also makes it possible to install debug symbols to debug the crash: https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger Oh, and I was wool-gathering when I recommended using the beta: that is not available for 32 bits systems at this point, I had forgotten about that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389151 Alvin Wong changed: What|Removed |Added CC||alvinhoc...@gmail.com --- Comment #8 from Alvin Wong --- @Boud The backtraces appear to point to some sort of heap corruption (would be my guess). Some of the crashes appears to be triggered when loading cursors, some appears to be related to QtSvg, but neither are necessarily related to the actual bug. The backtraces themselves could also be misleading so don't trust them fully... I can't think of any specific reasons, but I can perhaps try a 32-bit Windows 7 VM tomorrow to see if things work... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
