Okay, we discussed this on irc, and we cannot fix this issue because of the
fundamental way botht he curve brush engine and the stabilizer works.

This time I really found it. It's the stabilizer in the tool options. Simple is
ok, weighted is ok, stabilizer puts it off.

Found the mistake! "Enable touch painting" wasn't on! Checked it on again and
now the curve and particle brushes function normal again. Didn't think this
setting shuts off curves.

Hi Sabine,

I'm sorry, but there has been no development on these brush engines between
Krita 4.0 and Krita 4.0.2 and the Krita v3 presets work normally for me, so I
still cannot reproduce your report :-(

Maybe it helps to know what kind of Computer I have. It is an old Sony Vaio
with an intel core i5 and an NVidia Geforce GT 640M LE graphics card. I use
Windows 7.

Both the curve and the particle engines don't function anymore. The brushes are
version 3 brushes, maybe that is the problem? Something must have changed
between version 4.0 and 4.02 concerning these brush engines.
