It is different from reported duplicates. To trigger less steps are needed 1. Create image and select something 2. Create local selection 3 Select layer and copy it (Crtrl + C) 4. Close image and create a new one 5. Paste Backtrace shows m_canvas as nullptr and causing the crash.
