I know that KDE Plasma isn't officially supported on Mint anymore, and those packages appear to be quite old. I'm also not sure you've got everything you need installed. I was having the krunner stall-upon-first-search as well. Per your direction, I unselected ALL KRunner plugins. I also have the "File Search" disabled. I rebooted, and I continue to see this error. (Yeah..
