Kate has gettext dependencies. It builds and confirmed runs on amd64 and arm64

Hard to say, from looking at kate I would say it could probably build on ubuntu
as it has no special build dependencies.

Eitherway, gettext being missing may be a side effect from the build containers
having an excessive amount of packages installed by default (thus not getting
pulled into the snap specifically). Just a guess though.

I don't know. It managed to get kate built, so I guess it works. I don't know
why it worked just yet.
Maybe it's going to crash when I run it.
